  1. Anyone keeping check on how many 14 seconds jokes/references we've had so far?
  2. I would at least argue that he certainly isn't an upgrade, but I think I agree with you. The irony of it is, if we'd signed Nketiah most on here would be happy, but because we're getting Edouard it's a pants deal Wouldn't it be nice, just for a change, that for once Nketiah has a terrible season and Edouard finishes the season with 15+ goals
  3. "Most Media" not ours though. We'll be knocking together some utter tosh of Edouard right now to churn out in the morning
  4. So is that heavily edited or did they sign him f**king hours ago and have just left us hanging on
  5. In other news, just while we're waiting on this one, does anyone else feel like we're living in a football manager simulation with McTominay and Gilmour signing for Napoli, Sancho to Chelsea and Sterling to Arsenal?
  6. Ner, I genuinely think Cooper fancies Reid over Mavididi
  7. Right little one has gone bed, so PJ masks is off the TV and sky sports news is back on. Watch the Nketiah deal fall through.......
  8. They are certainly not seen as more attractive then us, but our hands are tied when it comes to splashing the cash as they have because of our past misdemeanors. They're signing players because they can Take away the PSR failures, even with a points deduction hanging over our heads, as arrogant as it sounds A) we wouldn't have Cooper in charge & B) if we could compete on the same financial level as Ipswich and Southampton, then pretty much every single player they've signed it given the choice, would choose us If Ipswich stay up, they'll soon find themselves in the same predicament that we find ourselves in. They'll need to pay more wages and higher transfer fees to compete, and find themselves the wrong side of PSR (or hope that someone somewhere realises the current rules just don't work that well) or just continually turn players over to stay in line, which isn't the model for growth.
  9. 13 of those games were as substitute, and those substitute appearances added up to less than 2 full games worth of minutes
  10. Unless they're a foreign player that no one had heard of before they're linked to us, then everybody claims to know loads about him (while in reality all they doo is Google his stats) Then this pretty much sums up every single transfers we've made in the last 5 years
  11. Can't see anything in the rules about that, but it is a strange one. It would effectively mean 2 free transfers of the player (disregarding any plans fees)
  12. This is the one we're all going to cling to between now and 11 isn't it!? Then we'll all give up, go to bed, wake up in the morning just to double check nothing went through then all be severely pee'd off when Vardy is out for a few weeks and we're stuck with Ayew up front
  13. Daka has great instinct, unfortunately he lacks football intelligence and movement. And when his instincts kick in he's usually in the wrong position, both on the field and in his body shape, to make best use of them
  14. Better than what we've been linked with so far over the last 48 hours or so. It's clear we're not spending big (and has been for months) on a striker, so if it's a loan, he's the best of a bad bunch Funny because when Brendan was here and we were linked with him, everyone wanted him
  15. No, but he might not like hearing Delilah sung by a bunch of knuckle draggers from up the A50
  16. Cannon off to Stoke
  17. If we're going with what the kids say these days Last season we played with 2 No8's and without a No10 This season it's looking likely we'll play 2 No6's and a No10 So KDH has been replaced by 2 players if you like, 1 in Skipp to do the defensive work and look to link play between defence and attack and the other in Buonanotte and El Khannouss (hopefully) to provide the spark up top Having 1 No8 only works in a 442, which is a system almost dead in the game. In the system we look likely to be playing KDH would have been found wanting on so many occasions because he'd be constantly caught out of position, he can't play as a 10 and he can't play as a 6
  18. I'd argue we've more than replaced KDH. KDH got the usual supporter hype for being a local lad. Don't get me wrong, he is a decent player, but with Skipp signed and hopefully the Moroccan lad will come good, add in Buonanotte then I'd say we're ok in centre mid. We are most certainly weaker up front though, the only No9 we have is Vardy
  19. It's been easy to get into this state though. Going all the way back to lumping 30 million on Slimani.... There are still positives. I like Skipp, but 20+million might have been too much. Fatawu, this Moroccan lad seems like a smart piece of business, bringing in Winks last year, but these are far outweighed by things like letting Teilemans and Soyuncu leave for nothing, finding ourselves in hot water because of deals like this, spending over 20 million on 2 players this window that weren't exactly what we needed and what we need is clear to anyone with at least 1 working eye
  20. Well if you think I'm going to be constantly refreshing every transfer page, clinging on to every tedious link and watching sky sports news all day until 11pm............ Then you'd be absolutely correct
  21. Trust our transfer team This is just a ploy so we don't get sucked in to paying over the odds by coming across as desperate I mean, it's not like us to be some sort of laughing stock on deadline day, nothing at all springs to mind to have my trust in them falter..........
  22. Ner, he doesn't like getting in behind and playing around the back
  23. So, what you're saying is, don't get this guy because he's absolutely crap
  24. My confidence in our transfer strategy is already low, but if we sign an injured striker because we're short of attacking options up front due to injury, then I just don't care who we sign anymore. We could sign M'Bappe, Haaland and Rodri and I'd still be convinced that it wouldn't work out
  25. I know, I'm also fairly convinced Wilf starts more often than not
