Congratulations, it’s a horrible process to go through but great when it all works out 👍
  2. Worked with loads like that but there are exceptions. I was surprised by how many are racist bigots and very right wing.

If it includes replacement liner then installation cost will be higher. If there is any paperwork showing age of liner, hetas certificate or similar then installer will know whether it’s a straight swap of log burner. Don’t buy a cheap one, you’ll regret it when it cracks. They range from a few hundred to several thousand for a decent one depending on output required. I live in Wales where everyone has a log burner and I’ve installed my own liner and burner and paid hetas installers too. If they take it out and don’t replace you could have a higher bill on installation of a new one.
  4. Stood behind some young lad yesterday, about 19 years old, had a tattoo “MAGA 2022” on his back. Had a North East accent. Scratching my head trying to work out why?
  5. No.
  6. And I’m pretty sure he wasn’t implying that it was 100% peaceful, not even sure any sizeable mass meeting could be. The police are always out in force for protests? From what I can gather, all of the blm organisers online were calling for peaceful protests unlike this lot who are pretty much the opposite. I’m not sure the looting and smashing of shops were blm protestors, more like groups of disenfranchised opportunists out to cause mayhem. For the record, nobody is pretending things didn’t happen but they absolutely were mostly peaceful.
  7. But they were mostly peaceful? Majority of arrests were for violation of Covid restrictions at the early protests. Even the US protests were 90% + peaceful according to the acled report https://acleddata.com/2020/09/03/demonstrations-political-violence-in-america-new-data-for-summer-2020/ They didn’t go attacking randoms willy-nilly or burn hotels and loot shops over several days like this current lot are doing.
  8. I’ve been planning for a long time, lots of family already gone.
  9. We fly in to Paphos but our place is about 50 minutes drive away. It’s blooming hot here at the moment. If you have kids, get to the Aphrodites water park for a day or two, my Grandkids loved it and it was my easiest day by far. Boat rental starts at about £150 for a 4hr self drive and is a good crack too. I did that this morning, went for a 250hp boat to impress the 14 yr old, had a fantastic time but really didn’t need that power, gonna stick with the 75hp next time.
  10. Bloody hell, that’s unbelievable…
  11. What part of Cyprus?
  12. Definitely not posh, secluded and full of birds and insects though. I *think* Waitrose do deliver locally but I’ve never even been in their store never mind had a delivery. Nearest Mcchickenking is nearly an hour away though.
  13. Tried this already, made no difference. It’s apparently built in by Apple to protect the phone when ambient temperature is high, just have to leave to cool down.
  14. I liked this post out of sympathy as I’ve never seen one 😂
  15. I quit years ago, only have takeaways/fast food in an emergency. It’s incredibly high in calories and low in nutritional value and lots of it is meh anyway. I’d be happy to see all of the major outlets shut and never reopen. One of societies modern blights.
  16. Not been that way for a couple of years, Daughter travels that way regularly (from Malvern) and she said the same.
  17. iPhones don’t like heat. screen darkens and becomes virtually unreadable 😡. Disclaimer - it’s 40 degrees by the pool atm 🥵
  18. Exactly this. Still trying to convince my wife that an EV would work for us.
  19. I’ve no problem with that, councils need to just make a few adjustments to certain roads and I’m sure it’ll work well. One less young person dying from a collision with a ton of metal is worth a few moaning old boomers late for their supermarket run.
  20. Now a necessity
  21. Where in Wales? Road condition is a lottery depending on the county but have noticed slow deterioration over the last few years, particularly on minor roads

Indemnity is definitely not a bad option, just bear in mind that when you sell you’ll have the same problem with new buyers so could hamper future sale. You could ask a builder to look at it and see what costs are involved in bringing up to standard and applying for retrospective planning. I’ve bought and sold a property with an indemnity insurance, cost me about £300 in 2010.

  24. Agree with everything Stadt said. get as many panels as you can afford/have room for.
