Just came across this, Vegan restaurant also being abused online for being Vegan. https://www.theguardian.com/food/2024/feb/17/we-block-10-people-a-day-culture-war-trolls-add-to-uk-vegan-restaurants-struggles Why are some people so obsessed with other peopleās habits.

I prefer to think of them as animal rights extremists š

To be fair, this is nothing to do with Vegans, they're individuals just being cvnts.

Moved into house 16 months ago, nearest neighbours are elderly but husband works away several times a month so I volunteered to help his (83 yr old) wife with the dog and two horses while heās away, now turning into a part time job⦠Anyway, this is Onyx, my walking mate.

Kienan dewsbury crocs birthday
jgtuk replied to Kienan dewsbury croc's topic in Leicester City Forum
No, the Blue Tit is more common across the UK. Numbers vary each year but currently 2.4m Great Tit territories vs 3.6m Blue Tit territories. There are geographical variances of course. The RSPB/BTO hold important data which everyone can contribute to by taking part in the Big Garden Bird Birdwatch ps. Happy birthday op and up the foxes š -
Both are great but I preferred winter (late February when we went) - less crowded so fewer queues for the touristy stuff - although we were pretty lucky with the weather, cold but clear blue sky and little wind. Had some snow too which added to the experience. Visibility was brilliant from Empire State, Rockefeller etc. New York is awesomeā¦

I chose to wild camp for a very good reason (although if wife is with me very often start or end the trip in a hotel. Stayed at the Slichagan a couple of times). Cost isn't a factor (for me at least), there really isn't anywhere in the world like it, at least without going to parts of scandinavia or Canada. Scotland still has some great wilderness and extremely challenging walks/climbs, great wildlife and is on the doorstep, relatively speaking. It's not a case of either/or, I've travelled reasonably extensively bucket class, business/1st class and stayed in some very expensive upmarket places, it doesn't mean I also don't like a Bothy in scotland (with or without Midges), a VERY cheap Riad in Morroco or a Favela in Rio. My wife/kids don't always agree with me

I just checked, I went back several times in the 2000's, the last time in 2009. I went alone in March to avoid the Midges but the weather was incredibly changeable, snow blizzard, torrential rain, howling wind but some good calm sunshine too. I love the west coast anyway, it fulfills all of my likes - walking, climbing/scrambling, birdwatching, photography... I used to do a great trip - Mallaig harbour, paddle into sea, around headland and into Loch Nevis, all the way to the bottom (nice bothy and good walking so stayed for a couple of nights), then paddle halfway back up to Tarbet, carry boats and kit over mountain ridge (just under a mile) to Loch Morar - good wild camping and a nice bothy (sadly locked up now apparently). Paddle the loch at leisure and camp on islands for last night. Walk back to vehicle and drive to collect kit... This is from 2009, Elgol beach looking toward the black Cuillin - cliched picture i know but irresistable...
