  1. Only one of them is oppressing the other. Controlling water, energy, fuel, food, transit in and out of the country etc. for many years. Generations of Palestinians living in poverty with little access to ordinary commodities, frequently being dispossessed of their land and property with many thousands living in refugee camps for years on end. I’m aware of attacks by Hamas and other Arab militants on Israel and they should also be rightly condemned. This article by Human Rights Watch is an informative read. https://www.hrw.org/news/2017/06/04/israel-50-years-occupation-abuses
  2. It wasn’t a country but a region. It was inhabited by Arab/Palestinian tribes but occupied or ruled over many times by others, Egypt included.
  3. It wasn’t part of Egypt, it was occupied and controlled by Egypt.
  4. Well, I’m glad you told me, I just didn’t realise how complicated it is. 🙄
  5. And most are forgetting that Israel are an occupying force and Hamas exist literally because of this.
  6. CB radio enthusiasts, the social media of the day 😂
  7. Failure to pay medical bills is a major driver of personal bankruptcy in the US...
  8. Half day closing?
  9. You can get 30 day sims really cheaply. I tried 3 different providers before I settled with Lebara who run off the Vodafone network. I think I pay about £7 pm for 15gb, unlimited text and 5G calls. It’s the best service in my area and with no contract you can change anytime. You’ll have 30 days to see if the network suits your lifestyle or not.
  10. And Alpine?
  11. Have you seen him tackle!!!
  12. Bang on advice 👍
  13. Doesn’t mean they’re no good… If you don’t use them regularly, where’s the point in spending big! I used mine for my job so it was a no brainer. Waxwing are incredibly beautiful birds, I've been lucky enough to have seen them on about 4 or 5 occasions. What magnification/objective lens are your binoculars?
  14. £350 will get you entry level birding bins… I have a pair of Swarovski 8x42, cost me £900 in 1990, also have a pair of Leica 10x50’s (can’t tell you what they cost in case wife is watching 👀)
  15. I have two massive Horse Chestnut trees in my garden, collected buckets of conkers for the kids - not a bit of interest
  16. But it's a different story for women whatever they do, hitchhiking is no different. I met quite a few solo women hitchers on my travels and many more in pairs/groups, although most were interailing or similar.
  17. Definitely. I still pick up anybody I see and often go out of my way to drop them somewhere safe. Wife not very happy once when I arrived home with three chinese students to feed, water and wash Also, hitchhiking abroad gives an insight into how much of a superiority complex Brits have when you meet the kindest and most humble people (who we've often treated very badly in the past) and they offer you their home...
  18. Same... Main mode of transport all around the UK, Europe and the Midle East.
  19. I’ve never ever seen The It Crowd, am I missing something?
