  1. Although there are good and bad years for different butterflies, there’s been an 80% decline since the 1970’s. Changing weather systems, pesticides and loss of habitat have all played a part. Some butterflies are migratory too so are subject to similar issues in the country they are coming from.
  2. I remember seeing Don Partridge by the clock tower. Pretty sure I’ve also seen him in Loughborough market place.
  3. Not true. I climb trees on a weekly basis for fun.

    Dogs

    Beautiful. Dog or Bitch?
  7. Might be a combination of new discs/pads bedding in. If they are sticking only slightly they might free up with use but normally calipers need stripping and cleaning. Stop on a slight hill/slope and see if car moves when you release foot brake (handbrake off) to determine whether they are definitely sticking.
  8. It’s definitely not just Leicester. I live in North Wales in an area of outstanding beauty (AONB) and it’s generally very clean but as soon as tourist season begins you start to find rubbish, in lay-bys or side of roads, picnic areas, the riverside, the beaches, just everywhere. I’ve seen people burying bin bags, disposable barbecues and even nappies on the beach. As @Free Falling Foxes said, when challenged they show no shame, even using threats. I've found McDonalds and Starbucks packaging dumped on the roadside - the nearest of those are around an hours drive away…
  9. Poor people aren’t allowed luxuries though. I once knew a single Mum who had a flat screen tv.

    Guitars

Excellent. Most of the stuff on guitar set up is relatively simple, you do need decent tools and preferably jig/clamps which make the job far easier. During lockdown I converted a left handed Taylor acoustic to right hand, took me ages as I was scared of wrecking it. It plays beautifully, Daughter stole it and it’s her go to guitar now…
  14. Any pics?
  15. You’re a braver man than me, mine’s tucked away until I see at least 10 degrees on the thermometer 🥶

  17. Amazing! Lovely place in a beautiful area. I went and climbed Mulhacén, ended up with a Spanish girlfriend and lived in Calpe for about 9 month. Her family lived in/around Mojácar so visited a few times.
  18. Very interesting history behind this symbol, years ago I went to Mojácar and remember seeing it everywhere. Memory faded but seem to remember a cave/castle... You obviously know this already so sorry for off topic . To the op, these are really nice and apparently on point at the moment (wife/daughters tell me) so should sell well regardless of platform. Lots of cheap stuff around though so marketing should impress on the quality and materials involved. My daughter says she would buy one!!
  19. Well done for perseverance! It probably wasn’t the compensation but the principle that what was advertised wasn’t given. I often book or buy things based on description and hate complaining but when it’s important to you it’s disappointing to have to resort to chasing customer services.
  20. That’ll teach me to read properly…
  21. First time was Biyadhoo (my favourite ) second was Mirihi (kids favourite), can’t remember the third but last one was Velidhoo (flew from Sri Lanka). All were on the lower/mid price range at the time, Biyadhoo was the most basic and smallest. I swam one way around the island in an hour and then back in the opposite direction. I’d do this several times a day and never saw the same thing twice… Any more than a week and you’d have to be a real sea lover or heavily into diving. I was lucky enough to see the place before the major coral bleaching so had some excellent diving and snorkelling experiences.
  22. Disagree, iptv on Firestick through smart TV has got me every game for the last 3 years, in 4K or fhd, and very rarely fails. Streaming games was a chore, rarely consistent and full of porn/pop ups/ ads and the occasional virus/trojan. Add to that the other sports, films, series, box sets, Disney etc. that are available for around £60 a year it’s a no brainer. Add a multi room to the package and the whole family are sorted 👍
  23. I choose places with no outside world contact, wife thinks it’s coincidence 😂
  24. The Maldives is an amazing place. I’ve been 4 times now, different island groups each time. It’s not for everyone though, no tv, internet, newspapers etc. but I love it. I live in the sea every waking hour, mostly snorkelling but always try and get a dive or two in. Kids spend all week in the lagoon trying to catch Black tipped sharks or turtles. Did a twenty day trip back in 2016, 10 in Sri Lanka and 10 in Maldives with seaplane transfers.
  25. I’ll update when sorted. It’s the LG C2 series, a brilliant TV otherwise so hopefully it’ll be similar in quality if replaced.
