The disappearance of Page and Nelson is damning.

Do you mind elaborating on this a bit more please Ric? I'm curious if that means all of them don't, he doesn't have the respect of the older players, he's done something (or not done something) to cause that...etc For me, he came in with all this stuff about building with the academy, having the right people in and around the squad...and then as soon as he's been able to replace them with senior players we know aren't good enough or at least willing to apply themselves, he's put them ahead of the youth showing promise. I would assume that would lose him the trust of the youth players, and potentially some of those who care the most about the club and have seen how some players fail to perform time and again.

**** this bunch of players. I won't dignify them by calling them a team. The best I am clinging to is that we somehow end up managing to scrape into the playoffs, and then it's a lottery. We are really, really not good enough. And Cifuentes is so far out of his depth. Incredibly disappointing. Genuinely want to just stop taking notice for a while. Waste of energy until something changes at the very top.

Out of his depth. His initial promises haven't been kept, and despite initially seeming like he was learning from his mistakes, he's just kept repeating them and expecting different results. So disappointing.

I'd say yes, based on the fact we have 3 strikers, 2 CMs, and 1-2 CBs we genuinely don't want in the squad, let alone starting 11.

It states as such in that article too. He "signed a new contract with us this summer". We just don't know how long it is. I would guess longer term if he has been loaned out.

To clarify: do you mean go for a new striker, or a new manager?

If he continues to bench Ayew and Soumaré on the bench, that will be a plus in his column. No issue with them coming on as subs if need be this season, but they should not be starters. Again, a lack of Nelson in the squad is concerning. But otherwise I think he's working with what he's got. It won't happen, but if we signed an actual striker and a superior left back in January, I think that would help Cifuentes immensely.

I'm really keen on Thierry Small. Don't think he'd move in Jan though.

Withholding judgement until he at least gets a start at some point...but so far, not seen much to warrant him getting one. Feels like a 3rd choice striker at the moment, rather than the first choice we desperately need.

This is pretty much exactly what Jed Wallace said on the NTT20 podcast last week: Reverse fixtures are going to be very, very different for teams like Cov and Boro. Not to say they can't still maintain this form, but teams will treat them quite differently, and the stakes will have changed re: what other teams are gunning for.

Reasonably happy with that lineup. Disappointed Nelson isn't even in the squad again, but on paper that team should be pretty much our best 11. Fingers crossed we get a good win here. And if it's a good performance, all the better. 🤞🏻

Aluko and Page starting, so definitely not in the squad for Swansea. Sigh.

He's losing me. In fact, he might have lost me. I don't think he has what it takes to get the most out of this squad. I get that we're not very good, but the chance creation and attacking threat is abysmal.

Unfortunately, I think this is the start of Marti losing me. We're not very good, and he's not making us any better.
