  1. Missed most of the game, but sounded (and looked when I could get a stream working) like he played really well! What was the shithousery lots are referring to?
  2. Put a fork in us already.
  3. How do you think they're fuelling the flamethrowers? Gotta cut costs with PSR, y'see.
  4. I can see the headline now! "Blades sign spine of 23/24 Championship winning team"
  5. When you can't trust Percy, who can you trust, eh?
  6. Just in case it gets taken down...reposting here from the Transfer Talk thread:
  7. He's just posted on his Instagram Stories dismissing this as Fake News, FWIW.
  8. Oooh I'd definitely take Edwards as an option.
  9. When is he actually due back? Seems odd for them to want to sign an injured player.
  10. That's a really good point about PSR. Hadn't even considered that angle. How grim. I live down that way and Brighton have such a massive opportunity to tap into the next generation of fans down here. You see a fair few Fulham, Palace, and some Chelsea kits, but it's not proliferated with Man Utd, Liverpool or Man City fans it seems. It's a bit like Southampton: Their relative success/stability in the 90s ish means there are Southampton fans all across the West Country too, and up into Wiltshire. I reckon Brighton fandom could easily expand out through Kent, for example, given time. So demand for season tickets and tickets generally could stay high if they play their cards right.
  11. I'm not a huge believer in 3ATB, but I quite like this. Uses our squad best, I think. If we don't have 2-3 quality wingers (we don't, especially with Fatawu injured), this makes most sense in facilitating a box midfield but adding more balance to the defence. By all accounts Coulibaly is good at getting up and down the flank, as Kristiansen can be too. I do wish we had a striker better at holding up the ball though. That's not where Daka's (or Vardy's) strengths lie.
  12. I think you're spot on with those in italics. We didn't use Coady last time, and I doubt we'll need to use him again. Winks I agree will probably be looking to leave. Fatawu, I'd hope not, considering he's been recovering with us most of this year and I'd like to think is quite connected to the club/fans. But I appreciate that's not really how football works any more.
  13. Do we actually think having a manager or not will have any impact on our squad's ability to play a full 90 minutes of football? I'm honestly not sure it matters at this point. They're just not good enough, and confidence is through the floor.
  14. I don't know that I'm "Ruud Out", but I'm certainly not "Ruud In". Completely lost faith in his ability to get anything out of us. It feels ridiculous saying it, but I can't see us getting another point this season.
  15. Not sure if this has been shared already, but I doubt it's truly "homesickness" as seems to have been reported: Leicester City player wants prominent role or quick exit https://sportwitness.co.uk/leicester-city-player-wants-prominent-role-or-quick-exit-contact-initiated-for-transfer/ This from yesterday indicates it's more about playing time. Which I kind of get: He was playing a fair bit, then got dropped under Ruud. He's on the fringes of the Italy squad, so you'd imagine he wants to kick on...and he can't really do that if he's not playing. I personally don't get why he isn't ahead of Coady. Coady's ball playing is much better, sure, but we already have that with Vestergaard/Faes. Okoli offers physicality and pace in a partnership, which we seriously lack at the back.
  16. Shame it hasn't worked out, but we should be snapping their hand off at that price, based on what he's done so far this season. Reinvest in the defence, please.
  17. Their's or ours? đź‘€
  18. Lost faith in him now. 6 losses on the bounce is unacceptable, and there's no chance we'll get anything from Fulham either. I get he has had to contend with injuries, that's tough. But keeping a team playing for 90 minutes—hell, even more than 45—is the bare minimum expectations for me. Not good enough, and neither are at least 50% of our team (namely the defence).
  19. We're done. Pains me to admit it, but we're already lying in our graves. The rest of the season is a formality at this point.
  20. Come on Leicester.
  21. As is to be expected, I have no idea if he is an upgrade on Justin based on the videos and stats. If he can at least give Justin a break from the team and rotate, that will be a start though. I was, however, hoping for a defender who could quite clearly defend their right flank. Unless we're replacing Kristiansen with a player like that?
  22. That does feel one hell of a lot more solid down the right, doesn't it? Certainly once Ndidi is back too.
  23. I doubt we'll move to a standard back 3, based on RvN's preferred formations. Instead, I'd hazard a guess this guy replaces JJ at RB out of possession, and drops into being an RCB in possession. VK/a left wing back then pushes forward more in possession, like Justin does currently.
  24. I think he's actually starting to lose me. I still don't see a style of play, we can't defend, and we barely create anything. He's been handed a poor hand with injuries and some fixtures, which is why I am still hoping he can turn it around...but 5 defeats on the bounce with no sign we'll win a game any time soon? Not good.
