  1. We'll just insist on nicknaming him Theatesen. No bother.
  2. I mean, our comms do have previous for being timed neatly for other things to provide distractions (see: Ticket prices announced the other day, while reporters had clearly been briefed on Potter being close) 😅 That said, I do agree with you. I don't think you can "mask" the signing of a new first team manager. Then again, this is Leicester City, so you never really know if we'd try such nonsense.
  3. Pretty underwhelmed by Cooper, and don't really understand how the board can claim they have a set vision, then recruit two wildly different managers. I am hoping Cooper's record with youth, and the way he tried to play at Swansea, are the approaches he'll bring. However, all of that was a while ago now, and I worry we're clutching at straws to find hope in this appointment at the moment.
  4. I think he's still a little unproven in some clubs' eyes. By all accounts I think his Reims team fell apart a bit in the last 14 games, and they parted ways as a result?
  5. He's so good that he's retroactively ended the guy's career.
  6. Think it was mentioned that Potter is no longer with him, perhaps? Connection is still there though of course.
  7. You joke, but honestly, seeing him and Braybrooke playing alongside the first team squad is the main reason I'm excited for pre-season to start.
  8. Not that surprising really. I think it's fair to say Maresca changed his thinking about the game (Ricky has said as much) and potentially prolonged his career through inverting him into midfield. Just him so far though who has said anything, I think!
  9. I was just going to ask this. Players have posted about other things, but no-one has acknowledged Maresca leaving really. Ricky P, Coady and Stolarczyk have liked the club announcement of it on Instagram, but that's it as far as I can see.
  10. Lots of EPL interest in him I guess.
  11. Mostly fair, albeit a clear PR piece from Balague. Not sure Maresca "kept his counsel" on the January window though. He wasn't overt in his criticism, publicly, but he definitely made it clear he wasn't happy. And that was fair! The suggestion Enzo's style is "not dissimilar" to Pochettino's is a bit of a reach though. It's not dissimilar in that they both coach football teams I suppose 🤷🏻‍♂️
  12. I'm presuming you meant "outside the box" 😅? I think you're right though, I doubt it will be someone we expect. I'd be surprised if Corberán was actually under serious consideration, for example. Even more so Steve Cooper or Moyes.
  13. Honestly, I didn't mind Fabrizio before, but this one has really got on my tits with his constant "announcements". I get it's his job, he gets money for engagement etc etc...but honestly I think I'll be more relieved when he stops tweeting about it than us actually announcing Maresca has gone 😅.
  14. Thanks @KlaaZ, appreciate the insight! Sounds like we should probably steer clear of him then. And yet we appear to be negotiating for him 🙄.
  15. So that's where the gold on our latest kit went! Chelsea asset stripping us down to the kit 'n all!
  16. So I get this, but would it not involve unlearning everything the squad learned under Enzo? And mean looking for a very different sort of player. From the bits that have been shared on Corberán I really don't feel he'd "improve" us...which we definitely need to in order to stay up. Maybe others are just seeing something I can't, but I don't *get* Corberán.
  17. If he stays and Enzo leaves, I think they will definitely finish above us. I'd be curious to know if a manager leaving a newly promoted side before the next season has ever worked out well.
  18. I don't really get what people see in Corberán. He plays almost the opposite style to our current approach, doesn't he? So no more inverted full backs, and Winks not being used as the pivot, I'd have thought. Progression via the wings, and not through the middle.
  19. Farioli has gone to Ajax, just FYI.
  20. Surely not 🤨. This would be way too good to be true, surely?!
  21. Well by all accounts De Zerbi wanted to sign more established players rather than wonderkids/potential, which Chelsea may well be more inclined to do now 🤷🏻‍♂️
  22. About halfway through each of their respective matches, and Grønbæk has scored, while Nanasi has got an assist. I WILL MANIFEST THEIR TRANSFERS HERE, GODDAMMIT.
  23. Colleague at work is a Leeds fan. Really lovely guy, as down to earth as anyone you'll care to meet. However, when I mentioned to the others in our team his team were in the play off final, his response was "We're going up!" Is it just me who thinks this is incredibly hubristic? I wouldn't dare state that if we were in that position, but maybe that's just a Leicester thing 😅 Completely baffled me!
  24. Obviously that's not what I'm saying . But Enzo plays a certain way, and discussions around priority targets would be happening between him and Glover. I'm not saying us moulding our entire squad around his specific style of play is 100% a positive, but rowing back on that does set us back a little in summer planning, you'd have thought. Which I don't think we can afford this summer.
