  1. Not sure if this has been shared already, but I doubt it's truly "homesickness" as seems to have been reported: Leicester City player wants prominent role or quick exit https://sportwitness.co.uk/leicester-city-player-wants-prominent-role-or-quick-exit-contact-initiated-for-transfer/ This from yesterday indicates it's more about playing time. Which I kind of get: He was playing a fair bit, then got dropped under Ruud. He's on the fringes of the Italy squad, so you'd imagine he wants to kick on...and he can't really do that if he's not playing. I personally don't get why he isn't ahead of Coady. Coady's ball playing is much better, sure, but we already have that with Vestergaard/Faes. Okoli offers physicality and pace in a partnership, which we seriously lack at the back.
  2. Shame it hasn't worked out, but we should be snapping their hand off at that price, based on what he's done so far this season. Reinvest in the defence, please.
  3. Their's or ours? 👀
  4. Lost faith in him now. 6 losses on the bounce is unacceptable, and there's no chance we'll get anything from Fulham either. I get he has had to contend with injuries, that's tough. But keeping a team playing for 90 minutes—hell, even more than 45—is the bare minimum expectations for me. Not good enough, and neither are at least 50% of our team (namely the defence).
  5. We're done. Pains me to admit it, but we're already lying in our graves. The rest of the season is a formality at this point.
  6. Come on Leicester.
  7. As is to be expected, I have no idea if he is an upgrade on Justin based on the videos and stats. If he can at least give Justin a break from the team and rotate, that will be a start though. I was, however, hoping for a defender who could quite clearly defend their right flank. Unless we're replacing Kristiansen with a player like that?
  8. That does feel one hell of a lot more solid down the right, doesn't it? Certainly once Ndidi is back too.
  9. I doubt we'll move to a standard back 3, based on RvN's preferred formations. Instead, I'd hazard a guess this guy replaces JJ at RB out of possession, and drops into being an RCB in possession. VK/a left wing back then pushes forward more in possession, like Justin does currently.
  10. I think he's actually starting to lose me. I still don't see a style of play, we can't defend, and we barely create anything. He's been handed a poor hand with injuries and some fixtures, which is why I am still hoping he can turn it around...but 5 defeats on the bounce with no sign we'll win a game any time soon? Not good.
  11. I understand the concept, but at 90 minutes? There's not enough time for Reid to have made an impact.
  12. You know what I meant . Vardy is our GOAT, so no, of course not. But someone who could comfortably be played instead of him sometimes, to allow him to rest? Yeah I'd love that please.
  13. The only way Okoli is going is if we are confident in bringing in a first choice CB, surely. I think he has a lot of potential, and I can't see us offloading him with just half a season over here. I think he's said he enjoys the challenge of this league too.
  14. I'm coming around to this. I really, really want us to sign a winger to push Ayew to a bench option, but it's our defence that has to be prioritised. If nothing else, we need a CB and RB. Sell Faes at a minimum, bench Justin, and replace both with a first choice CB and first choice RB. No pressure, Rudders.
  15. I'm not really sure what people see in him. Is he really better than Vardy or Daka? If not, 12m would be better spent on a defender or a winger.
  16. Has anyone seen/heard any news about Ricardo's potential return?
  17. That is a fair point. You could suggest that of declaring the other positions, but yes, maybe declaring interest in a right back might hike up prices. Alternatively, it means Ruud/the club are happy to have just the one, currently underperforming, RB in Justin for the rest of the season. Or at least, based on there not being any news on Ricardo's return, I don't think?
  18. Bit worrying a RB hasn't been explicitly mentioned. Otherwise I think I agree, as Jakob deserves to go out on loan as a first choice for half a season, once Mads is back. Great we're keeping Buonanotte though!
  19. RB CB RW ST LW We need to essentially replace our right hand side as a priority, from back to front in priority order. I don't think Justin or Coady can be first choice if we want to stay up. It seems inevitable Buonanotte will be recalled, so a right winger is a must too. If he does stay, at least that's competition/another option aside from Ayew there.
  20. This is a great take. I've been extremely disappointed with Justin's performances this season, and he deserves a lot of the criticism levelled at him...but you're right, he just has no support. In fact, he's supporting centrally more than he's getting support on the right. I'm a big fan of Buonanotte, but I can see why we might want a proper right winger on that side to drop back and support when needed.
  21. Love watching him play. Technically excellent, works his socks off (his or Vardy's - IYKYK) and has one heck of an eye for a pass. Pretty decent at keeping the ball in tight situations too, contrary to what you'd think regarding his slender frame. Well played El Khanouss 👏🏻.
  22. I genuinely wouldn't be surprised if this is our final points tally. What the actual ****, Ruud? But more pertinently - do the players even give a shit? My Dad is (unfortunately) a Wolves fan, and said: "Over all the years watching, I have never seen a player standing still in the center circle with the ball at his feet and NOBODY from the opposition moved... LCFC seemed to give up🤷🏻‍♂️ strange game" Not the first time this season opposition fans have been surprised to find us the worst team they've played this season. ****.
  23. ...and that's me out of the match thread for the day. I hate it, but I can slightly understand why RvN doesn't feel like he can play anyone but Ward in goal right now. Why Iversen is on the bench over Stolarczyk Jakub, I don't get. But Buonanotte on the bench, with Ayew starting? I am a bit worried nothing has changed. Let's hope the attitude and application has.
