I understand the concept, but at 90 minutes? There's not enough time for Reid to have made an impact. -

Reid on for Thomas. Why? -
You know what I meant . Vardy is our GOAT, so no, of course not. But someone who could comfortably be played instead of him sometimes, to allow him to rest? Yeah I'd love that please.
-
The only way Okoli is going is if we are confident in bringing in a first choice CB, surely. I think he has a lot of potential, and I can't see us offloading him with just half a season over here. I think he's said he enjoys the challenge of this league too.
-
I'm coming around to this. I really, really want us to sign a winger to push Ayew to a bench option, but it's our defence that has to be prioritised. If nothing else, we need a CB and RB. Sell Faes at a minimum, bench Justin, and replace both with a first choice CB and first choice RB. No pressure, Rudders.
-
I'm not really sure what people see in him. Is he really better than Vardy or Daka? If not, 12m would be better spent on a defender or a winger.
-
Has anyone seen/heard any news about Ricardo's potential return?
-
That is a fair point. You could suggest that of declaring the other positions, but yes, maybe declaring interest in a right back might hike up prices. Alternatively, it means Ruud/the club are happy to have just the one, currently underperforming, RB in Justin for the rest of the season. Or at least, based on there not being any news on Ricardo's return, I don't think?
-
Bit worrying a RB hasn't been explicitly mentioned. Otherwise I think I agree, as Jakob deserves to go out on loan as a first choice for half a season, once Mads is back. Great we're keeping Buonanotte though!
-
RB CB RW ST LW We need to essentially replace our right hand side as a priority, from back to front in priority order. I don't think Justin or Coady can be first choice if we want to stay up. It seems inevitable Buonanotte will be recalled, so a right winger is a must too. If he does stay, at least that's competition/another option aside from Ayew there.
-
This is a great take. I've been extremely disappointed with Justin's performances this season, and he deserves a lot of the criticism levelled at him...but you're right, he just has no support. In fact, he's supporting centrally more than he's getting support on the right. I'm a big fan of Buonanotte, but I can see why we might want a proper right winger on that side to drop back and support when needed.
-
Love watching him play. Technically excellent, works his socks off (his or Vardy's - IYKYK) and has one heck of an eye for a pass. Pretty decent at keeping the ball in tight situations too, contrary to what you'd think regarding his slender frame. Well played El Khanouss 👏🏻.
-
I genuinely wouldn't be surprised if this is our final points tally. What the actual ****, Ruud? But more pertinently - do the players even give a shit? My Dad is (unfortunately) a Wolves fan, and said: "Over all the years watching, I have never seen a player standing still in the center circle with the ball at his feet and NOBODY from the opposition moved... LCFC seemed to give up🤷🏻♂️ strange game" Not the first time this season opposition fans have been surprised to find us the worst team they've played this season. ****.
-
...and that's me out of the match thread for the day. I hate it, but I can slightly understand why RvN doesn't feel like he can play anyone but Ward in goal right now. Why Iversen is on the bench over Stolarczyk Jakub, I don't get. But Buonanotte on the bench, with Ayew starting? I am a bit worried nothing has changed. Let's hope the attitude and application has.

Steady on, Rumble.
-
And Newcastle score. Of course they do.
-
****, Mads is injured?

Odsonne Edouard joins on loan - Official

Thanks for this. The quote is much much worse out of context. Alongside what else Glasner said, it makes complete sense. Basically, if he comes back it won't be to play, they'll find him somewhere else to go on loan to for minutes. -
That is odd. Maybe they've been briefed that some folk are on their way in, but can't announce it yet? Surely they must be on their way—he currently doesn't have a coaching team!
-
From what @moore_94 posted, sounds like Ruud is in favour of the box four in the middle. So likely will be a full back coming inside. I'm sure someone mentioned about his PSV side having full backs come to play narrow too, which would help give some solidity to the slush that is us centrally at the moment.

This is so good to hear. Some actual continuity and building on the work that was done last season is such a relief. And to hear we actually want to win games? I'm sure Cooper said so too at some point, but it would be nice to actually believe it. Blimey. I take a lot of heart from Ruud sounding surprised about the level of interest in him after the stint at Man United. He seems grounded, but ambitious all the same. Fingers crossed it works out for him here 🤞🏻

Well yes, that is the sensible take . I would love a Thomas and Soumare redemption arc. I miss when Thomas used to do those fun little cut back crosses. -

That is a really weird line up. Maybe he's been told to rest players ahead of RVN's first game on Tuesday?! -
Honestly, this is such a relief. Sounds silly, but even with all the uncertainty this naturally brings, I now have more hope for our club this season. Phew.
