Hmm, I'm a bit torn on this. Wilf is one of my favourite players, and he's been with us a long long time now, so glad to see him choose us. I'm not sure his form in the past couple of years has warranted a 3 year deal though, let alone if it's for higher wages than he was on before. I get that the signing on fee will likely be included in that, but... Well, I hope he can get back to his destroyer best. I miss his octopus legs. If Cooper can get him back to that, then this will be an excellent (re-)signing. We just need a proper industrious box-to-box player now, to do the heavy lifting for Ndidi and Winks.

Spot on. Plus, as much as I love Fatawu and Mavididi, there's no guarantee they step up immediately to the level of the Premier League. I think they will, but Sosa provides both competition, and another player to work with should one of our current wingers not find form in the PL. I mean ideally they all blitz the league and it's hard to choose from them, but you know 😝.

This is wild. I really like KDH, and he clearly loves the club...but this has another Drinkwater written all over it. I don't think it's even a question of if he could step up—I just don't think he'd get played enough at this point in his career.

I like Ronnie Edwards, but signing him might block Ben Nelson playing for us/his development. I don't mind missing out on him if it means we play Nelson more.
