Soar Fox Posted 5 May 2015 Posted 5 May 2015 It baffles me how the rest of the world's view of both Dyche & Pearson is in such stark contrast to the popular opinion on this board because there's no way Dyche isn't a massive cvnt and Pearson isn't an absolutely loveable fellow. Thing is though if Pearson was at Forest for instance you'd have people on here who would be saying the exact same things about Pearson as other people say. It's like when we had Robbie Savage other teams fans hated him but because he played for us our fans loved him.

I think with Robbie Savage it's always been a case of other teams' fans hating him, his own team's fans hating him slightly less.

Dyche hasn't let his mask slip yet... only a matter of time.
bovril Posted 6 May 2015 Posted 6 May 2015 Not at all. We loved him at Leicester - if you didn't you're one of the few. Not for all his career. Fans began to appreciate his combative play but he was never in the same bracket as Lennon, Parker, Izzet.
Carl the Llama Posted 6 May 2015 Posted 6 May 2015 Dyche hasn't let his mask slip yet... only a matter of time. It's not a very good mask though is it? Admittedly due to circumstances surrounding our team we have a bit more insight into the man than most, but even so all it takes is a light scratching of the surface for his bs to come tumbling down, you'd have thought at least one major sports journo would have picked up on it by now.
kingcarr21 Posted 6 May 2015 Posted 6 May 2015 from off there forum Dear Sean, if you do read this tripe that us fans type on here every day then please note that I think you are the greatest manager there is. I have heard every interview you have given Clarets Player. I have seen how the players are motivated by you. If I was one of your players I would want to run and run too like Boydy. (I have done 11 marathons by the way).I thank you for the attacking football two striker approach which so nearly came off.I thank you for having our team play so professionally and not resorting to cheating.I thank you for a great defence which I hope will blossom next season.Given the budget constraints for a small town team like us you have WORKED A MIRACLE.I am so sorry that we had pretty well only BAD LUCK and poor decisions every week.Thought except for Sunderland away, West Brom away we gave a good account of ourselves.I guess one day you will move on but for now PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE stay with my beloved Burnley.Super Sean your welcome here anytime you are in the Dublin area.BrgdsMike (aka Sussex Don) Bless who wants to dissect it first?

Personally liked him a lot more than Parker, probably more than Lennon (though Lennon was the better player). He ran around like an Afghan hound and annoyed the shit out of the opposition.

They don't want to stray from their narrative, Sean is the happy go lucky underdog, with an amazing sense of humour and worked miracles with a team purchased for 50p. Nigel is the mental case who spent a fortune. Nothing will divert them from that path.

He ran around like an Afghan hound and annoyed the shit out of the opposition. He was very good from 99 to 01. But he still couldn't play football, and in his first season there were audible groans when his name was read out. Parker was in the top 3 dead ball players I've seen at Filbo. Without Parker there would have been no promotion and no League Cup in 97.
