33/1 to go down

I was emailed by Paddy Power a few days ago, reminding me of a £10 balance in my account - I'd forgotten about it. Like others, had 40-1 and like everyone else here, who's bet, I hope it's a waste of money I'd forgotten I had! :)

Good luck to all those travelling today. Hope you have a massive party in Sunderland!  :D

Hull will beat Spurs (When have they ever done us a favour?)

Geordies will beat a dejected QPR

A galvanised Defoe, Wickham, Fletcher, & Gomez will throw everything at us & win

Then it's all down the a nervy last day where QPR will have had time to overcome their relegation heartache & will love nothing more than to take us down with them.

The last thing you will see is a grinning Shaun Wright-Phillips.

Sleep well.

Safety confirmed!

I've taken out my 40-1 "insurance". Did the same last year, bet on Burnley to be champions after we went top...assured us of winning the championship :-)

I have dabbles at various prices as football insurance. Also gone for doubles and the treble from Hull, Sunderland and Newcastle today as I'd need compensation for what it would do to my nerves. Obviously hope I lose all of these bets.

I went down to the bookies and there was one hell of a queue of people all doing the same, I recognised a few faces...Schmeichel, Huth, Morgan, Wasilewski, Cambiasso.....

Just been into corals and its Down to 25/1 now - I couldn't bring my self to bet on it - I don't want to jinx us .

Come on LESTA we can do it

Re: life insurance example, typically you take out life insurance for yourself and not gamble on the lives of others, I would find it a bit worrying if I found out my girlfriend had insured my life, just in case.

Ultimately the chance of us being relegated is slim, hence the long odds, so I would feel pretty stupid throwing away money, even a free bet, betting against my team, and I wouldn't enjoy my winnings afterwards in the unlikely event of us going down.

For yourself? Who gets the payout? Will be other family members involved.

One has to have permission from the party you are taking insurance out on I think. Receipt of pay out would depend on the writing of the policy, contents of the will etc.

I put $10 AUD on us at $36.00 to be relegated. I hope we won't go down and it is unlikely but $360.00 will help drown sorrows if we do drop.

Put a tenner on today. £10 lost I hope. If not £340 back will buy a ps4 and hope not to remeber when we are at Rotherham on a Saturday.

Thats not a good thing shows how many people are backing us to go down with the drop in odds, but with our form and last 2 games i feel we will have done enough especially with newcastle imploding and hull not looking good either
