EastAnglianFox Posted 9 July 2015 Posted 9 July 2015 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TFkjPgccHto Amazing. Brilliant mate! Thanks for posting That, not seen it for years..awesome!
EastAnglianFox Posted 10 July 2015 Posted 10 July 2015 He seems so much more comfortable when he has to make the move from behind others than when he makes the move first.
Freesolo Posted 10 July 2015 Posted 10 July 2015 That's more like it Cav! Get in! He seems so much more comfortable when he has to make the move from behind others than when he makes the move first. Yea He doesn't have the legs to go from 300 metres out it appears 200m with a good lead out is a sweet spot, So happy for him to get the monkey of his back He must have been doubting himself
ramboacdc Posted 14 July 2015 Posted 14 July 2015 can't see anyone but froome winning today but look at that final climb! will be a great watch this afternoon!
Freesolo Posted 14 July 2015 Posted 14 July 2015 can't see anyone but froome winning today but look at that final climb! will be a great watch this afternoon! Yea I agree these stages with a fairly flat profile and one big climb at the end suit Froome perfectly, Today will be the real test to see how fit everyone is I expect there to be fireworks don't know if Team Sky are strong enough to set a pace from the start of the climb which makes it pretty pointless for anyone to attack as they will just get reeled back in. If froome gets isolated with Quintana, Contador and Nibali could be interesting.
ramboacdc Posted 14 July 2015 Posted 14 July 2015 froome has attacked with 6.4km to go. Quintanta chasing.
Super_horns Posted 14 July 2015 Posted 14 July 2015 Froome really destroying the field. A minute ahead of 2nd place in the stage and well ahead overall. Very impressive.
EastAnglianFox Posted 14 July 2015 Posted 14 July 2015 Frightening how easy he made that look. First day in the mountains but barring any possible Froome abandon is that the tour won!?
ramboacdc Posted 15 July 2015 Posted 15 July 2015 Frightening how easy he made that look. First day in the mountains but barring any possible Froome abandon is that the tour won!? he's won the tour he just has to chase down any breakway leaders who may have a pop at his lead. i think he will finish in the places today as well.
Amin Posted 15 July 2015 Posted 15 July 2015 That was amazing to see Nibali and Contador fall away so early. Froome just had to avoid any major crashes now, which is a challenge in itself.
Super_horns Posted 15 July 2015 Posted 15 July 2015 That was amazing to see Nibali. Even lost tine today right at the end.
Freesolo Posted 15 July 2015 Posted 15 July 2015 Even lost tine today right at the end. Nibali must be racing clean this year
EastAnglianFox Posted 16 July 2015 Posted 16 July 2015 Gerraint Thomas is an absolute machine! Surely deserves a crack at this in the future?
Super_horns Posted 18 July 2015 Posted 18 July 2015 Great day for Steve Cummings holding off the French
Raj Posted 18 July 2015 Posted 18 July 2015 Froome had piss thrown at him by a spectator accusing him of doping!? What would the spectator thrown if he ever saw Armstrong! On a serious note will cycling EVER rid of this bloody drug tag?!
Freesolo Posted 18 July 2015 Posted 18 July 2015 Froome had piss thrown at him by a spectator accusing him of doping!? What would the spectator thrown if he ever saw Armstrong! On a serious note will cycling EVER rid of this bloody drug tag?! Honestly no. Cycling particularly The Tour have such history of cheating and doping that goes back 100 years and there are riders doping in this years tour , i think you would need 30 years to at least give people some more trust in the sport. they need better testing and to raise the bans for getting caught because they are so low its a joke With modern cycling the French have not had a winner of The Tour in so long that their are a minority of French fans which are Bitter about it, on top of this you have retired big name French cyclists (who have all bee caught doping in the dark days) that write in the media and always say that Froome is Dirty even with no proof. They are just stiring up shit because there are no french cyclists to write about, It's really sad And throwing piss in Cyclists faces is just a 1 off incident i hope, its happened before and will happen again

Even in its first years of the tour the french were infighting and accusing eachother of corruption. Mind you..lets be fair, anybody man or woman, who compete in this sport and take on these hills and mountains at the days pace they chase down everyday...over 4-10 year careers is hard and magnificent. After accidents they jump back on their bikes, and compete sometimes another 100km+. For me they are the hardest sportsman of all. No need to argue just my opinion.
enmac Posted 20 July 2015 Posted 20 July 2015 Imagine if a French team was allowed to play in the PL every season, and more often that not they won it- plenty of English fans would get very upset. We humans are all as bad as each other. Sent from my BNTV600 using Tapatalk
Freesolo Posted 20 July 2015 Posted 20 July 2015 Froome is doping so is contador and all the main contenders on the Tour, they micro dope, what i mean by this is they blood dope with their own blood that has been oxygenated at altitude its impossible to trace if you are smart so it shows no EPO.they take it as close to the limit without breaking the rules, Its not the same as the Armstrong and Pantani days when they had 50% hematocrit counts

No need to argue just my opinion. You are right about that, most people have no idea how sore it is to crash when you have such low bodyfat I think Froome and all the other top climbers have probably 3-5% Bodyfat when you hit the hard road in a crash you are basically hitting bone wherever you land and it knocks the wind out of you and makes the chance of injury so much higher
