Friday Night Football

As I'm sure you are all aware, from 2016/2017 season this is a regular thing, but does anyone know whether this is replacing Monday Night Football or will the two both be around?

Thought it was utter wank having it Friday night. Think it replaces the EPL Saturday tea time kick off doesn't it? Certainly wasn't one this week when they trialled it.

Wasn't trialled this week, Villa v Man United was moved due to the EDL march in Walsall on Saturday on police advice. There's no Saturday tea-time match this week either.

 

Don't like Friday nights, will be even more difficult to get to now.

If I can get there I love a Friday night game. But like you say for those travelling from outside the city it does make it a whole lot trickier to attend.

There's both Friday and Monday. This game replaces, of course, one of the Saturday 3pm slots.

Prefer it to Sunday 1.30/2.05pm. What an abberation.

 

Of course, if it were up to me it'd all be Saturday at 3. There's a reason it was always that for decades.

I quite liked there being a game on a Friday night, there's never been an issue with the Football League playing games on a Friday night so can't see what difference it makes there being Premier League football on a Friday.
