ealingfox Posted 11 September 2015 Posted 11 September 2015 Swansea are the biggest media darlings going. The Teacher's Pet of the PL. Well-run, great ethics, attractive football, consistent philosophy, promoting from within - brown-nosing bastards.
HesNotGudjonsonn2 Posted 11 September 2015 Posted 11 September 2015 I just read the BBC piece about it and it said "Ghana international Ayew, 25, has scored three goals as the unbeaten Swans sit in fourth place with eight points from their opening four games" bearing in mind he is a striker. Wouldn't this sound like a better achievement? "ALGERIAN international MAHREZ, 24, has scored FOUR goals as the unbeaten FOXES sit in THIRD place with eight points from their opening four games." - He is not a striker. Last time I checked, third place is better than fourth, four goals are better than three and a midfielder scoring more than a striker makes it even better. Oh Well.
justfoxes Posted 11 September 2015 Posted 11 September 2015 Kiss of death sometimes winning this accolade but totally agree mahrez has been the revelation of the new season everyone's raring about him everyone wants him ! Just think we get overlooked sometimes who's on the panel ?
Dan Posted 11 September 2015 Posted 11 September 2015 Ayew's had a lot of praise but Mahrez really has stole the headlines. Genuinely surprised at him not winning it.

justfoxes Posted 12 September 2015 Posted 12 September 2015 Bafetimbi Gomis must be inline for the Lion king award for best creepy lion impersonation goal celebration !!
NewburyFox Posted 12 September 2015 Posted 12 September 2015 Ayew has performed well in every game whereas Mahrez had a poor game at Bournemouth (down to the injury) and was pulled at HT. If he'd put in a half decent performance there then I think he would've won it.
Nalis Posted 12 September 2015 Posted 12 September 2015 Yeah Gomis, Silva and Mahrez were all better shouts than Ayew. Not a big deal though, having asuccessful overall season is more important to the team.
