Freesolo Posted 10 September 2015 Share Posted 10 September 2015 What about Pardew beats Chelsea at stamford Bridge only "the special one's" second league loss there ever? Has a home loss though even if it is Arsenal

LCCFox96 Posted 10 September 2015 Share Posted 10 September 2015 Pellegrini for manager. Deserves it. Flawless start. I reckon either Mahrez or Ayew for player.
davieG Posted 10 September 2015 Share Posted 10 September 2015 Ranieri And Mahrez: The Numbers Posted: Thu 10 Sep 2015 Author: Leicester City image: http://www.lcfc.com/cms_images/riyad-280-2679650_478x359.jpg Following the news of a double nomination for Leicester City in the Barclays Premier League monthly awards, LCFC.com takes a look at some standout statistics for August. - Claudio Ranieri and Riyad Mahrez nominated for Barclays Premier League monthly awards - The Foxes are unbeaten in the league under Ranieri this season - Mahrez has found the net once every 73 minutes - Winners announced on Friday morning Following the news of a double nomination for Leicester City in the Barclays Premier League monthly awards, LCFC.com takes a look at some standout statistics for August. City boss Claudio Ranieri is up against Manchester City’s Manuel Pellegrini, Crystal Palace’s Alan Pardew and Swansea City’s Garry Monk for the August Manager of the Month award after a blistering start to the season. Alongside that, Foxes winger Riyad Mahrez is also up for the Player of the Month award after a sensational month. He faces competition from Manchester United’s Chris Smalling, Swansea duo Andre Ayew and Bafetimbi Gomis as well as Manchester City’s Aleksandar Kolarov and David Silva. But why have the City pair been nominated? Under Claudio Ranieri the Foxes are unbeaten in four games and have scored a brilliant eight goals in the process. Back-to-back victories over Sunderland and West Ham gave them a perfect start before they showed their fighting spirit to come from behind and salvage 1-1 draws against Tottenham Hotspur and AFC Bournemouth. Including last season, City are now eight Premier League games without defeat, which is a joint-Club record, and have gone five Premier League away games without defeat – another Club record. Oh, and did we mention that City are third in the table? Mahrez’s nomination comes as he sits atop of the Premier League goalscoring charts with four goals – level with Gomis and Callum Wilson. That total is made even more impressive with Mahrez’s total minutes played just 292 – fewer than the other five nominees by some way. That means he has scored a goal every 73 minutes so far this season. Not bad. ealingfox Posted 11 September 2015 Share Posted 11 September 2015 Pellegrini is fair enough no doubting that. Ayew over Mahrez is a load of bollocks though.
goose2010 Posted 11 September 2015 Share Posted 11 September 2015 if I was Gomis I would be asking for a cut of that trophy! Mahrez would of won it if he had a better game against Bournemouth

Babylon Posted 11 September 2015 Share Posted 11 September 2015 The people voting have probably only seen the matches on TV. Ayew was good against Man U so that probably won it.

Rasmic123 Posted 11 September 2015 Share Posted 11 September 2015 Fair enough for pellegrini winning MOTM. Think Mahrez, Gomis and Silva probably all deserved POTM more than ayew, difficult to say though when I haven't seen all of swansea's games this season. Guest Mee-9 Posted 11 September 2015 Share Posted 11 September 2015 Can see why Pell won it. But surely Mahrez should have got it. Glad him and Ranieri didn't win it anyway, due to it being a poisoned chalice.
Wymsey Posted 11 September 2015 Share Posted 11 September 2015 Ridiculous that Ayew's beaten Mahrez. This. It's because Swansea are a smaller club and, with how well Monk has done in his short managerial career, just seems a generous decision imo.
