StanSP Posted 30 August 2015 Posted 30 August 2015 All games done for the month. Pellegrini has won all four with Man City, not conceded any. Top the league and rightfully so. Ranieri guided a team who (for some reason?!) were tipped for relegation in to 3rd place and also unbeaten. Pardew also flying high with Palace, and one of their wins was a brilliant one over Chelsea. Monk at Swansea also unbeaten and arguably had the toughest fixture list, bagging a draw at Chelsea and beating Utd at home. For player of the month: Mahrez - took the league by storm, hit the ground running - 4 games, 4 goals. David Silva - 4 assists and been pivotal in Man City's 100% record. Gomis - guided Swansea to top 4 with 4 goals in 4 games as well. These aren't official by the way but just my thoughts. I think Pellegrini for Manager of the Month and Riyad Mahrez for Player of the Month.
glenny_fox Posted 30 August 2015 Posted 30 August 2015 Callum Wilson will somehow find himself in the nominations as he is the new golden boy.
shen Posted 30 August 2015 Posted 30 August 2015 Pellegrini and Silva. Only ones to have flawless games this month.
foxfanazer Posted 30 August 2015 Posted 30 August 2015 Pellegrini and Mahrez Silva has been class too but it's more expected of him and he has higher profile players playing around him. Mahrez cost us £400k from the second tier of french football.

foxfanazer Posted 30 August 2015 Posted 30 August 2015 Yeah, but why should those things be taken into account? Surely the best player should win?Yeah maybe. Just think Mahrez has single handedly done more if that makes sense. Also scored 3 which isn't too be sniffed at
shen Posted 30 August 2015 Posted 30 August 2015 Yeah maybe. Just think Mahrez has single handedly done more if that makes sense. Also scored 3 which isn't too be sniffed at He's scored 4. And I don't agree that he's single-handedly done it. He rescued a point against Spurs, much in the same way Vardy did yesterday. But the whole team had been superb in our two opening games. Albrighton deserves a huge amount of credit for Mahrez' goals against Sunderland for example.
Stevosevic Posted 30 August 2015 Posted 30 August 2015 Why aren't people talking about Kompany? 4 clean sheets and 2 goals.

Bryn Posted 30 August 2015 Posted 30 August 2015 Yesterday cost Riyad. Man City clean sweep I reckon.
bluesbrothers Posted 30 August 2015 Posted 30 August 2015 Pellegrini deserves it. Ranieri may be unbeaten, but tactically we've been iffy for the past two games, which surely won't get past those deciding, and Man City have managed a perfect start at a canter.Riyad will be squeezed out by Gomis i reckon, especially after his winner today. It'll be those two, Kompany and Wilson for the top 4.
davieG Posted 10 September 2015 Posted 10 September 2015 Manuel Pellegrini, Alan Pardew, Garry Monk and Claudio Ranieri nominated as Premier League Manager of the Month for August Gomis, Ayew, Mahrez and Kolarov Nominated for Player
Fox42 Posted 10 September 2015 Posted 10 September 2015 Pellegrini and Mahrez (bias) Gomis (non-bias)
Aus Fox Posted 10 September 2015 Posted 10 September 2015 Did Pearson win the last one last season? If so could we be te first club to win back to back manager of the month awards with different managers?
Wymsey Posted 10 September 2015 Posted 10 September 2015 Has to be Mahrez. Either him or Gomis, but the latter should be discredited with his stupid goal celebration.
Freesolo Posted 10 September 2015 Posted 10 September 2015 Can see Gomis getting POTM myself, Its going to be so close between him and Mahrez. I think his Character and goal celebration might make a slight difference.
Simo86 Posted 10 September 2015 Posted 10 September 2015 Can see Gomez getting POTM myself Who does he play for then? Has to be Mahrez. Either him or Gomis, but the latter should be discredited with his stupid goal celebration. Some idiot did that against my Sunday side when he scored at the weekend
DennisNedry Posted 10 September 2015 Posted 10 September 2015 If Mahrez had played well against Bournemouth he'd probably be the favourite but his poor performance there may let him down. Would be nice to see Clauran win manager of the month but Pellegrini just about deserves it more.
