Congratulations

Good luck but I'm sure you'll just be loving the experience! Where is the tournament being held?

They haven't announced the venue yet but it's been in Siciliy for the last two years so probably there.

Thanks for the congrats guys.

I hope you're able to watch it.

I don't have any dates yet but it'll probably be the first week of June in Siciliy and will be shown live on www.beachsoccer.com

This year there were 24 national champions from around Europe, playing in six groups of four teams with the top two from each group and the best four 3rd placers going into a knockout phase of 16 teams. It lasts about a week so I'm going to need to find a sponsor.

I have a few England players in the squad, the coach Terry Bowes, Aaron Clarke (England captain) my son Tom, Matt Evans, Scott Lawson, Priestley Farquharson, keepers Taylor Humm and Kelvin Mansfield (getting his first cap in Switzerland on Friday).

Have a look at https://www.facebook.com/wkrsantosbsc?ref=aymt_homepage_panel

It's crazy - I've had messages from international players in mainland Europe expressing an interest in playing for us next season. It's mad - we only started as something for the dad's from a local primary school to do.

Other teams qualified so far include Bate Borisov (Belarus), SC Braga (Portugal), Grembach Lodz (Poland), Almeria (Spain) and Lokomotiv Moscow (Russia).

England play Switzerland in a beach soccer friendly in Switzerland tonight, kick-off 1930 UK time. There is a live stream at http://www.football.ch/SFV/Beach-Soccer/Live-Stream.aspx

The England team features six players from WKR Santos' English National Championship winning side from last weekend.

Just as a heads-up, Switzerland have two of the best players in the world playing tonight - Noel Ott, considered to be the Messi of beach soccer, and Dejan Stankovic, a beast of a striker.

Switzerland are 6th in the FIFA world rankings; England are 32nd.

It's just been confirmed that the Euro Winners Cup 2016 will take place at the Domus Bet Beach Arena, Lido Azzurro in Catania, Sicily from Monday 23rd May to Sunday 30th May.

There will be live streams for this - it'd be great if a few of you were able to watch our team and see how far we can get against the big boys of beach soccer.

Well it's getting close now!

My team, WKR Santos BSC in the European Beach Soccer Club Championships.

I'm flying out to Catania on Tuesday 3rd May to attend the draw at the Palazzo dei Chierici next Wednesday.

32 balls in a bag to be drawn into eight groups of four. The group games will be played on Monday 23rd, Tuesday 24th and Wednesday 25th May with the top two from each group going forward to the last-16 knockout stage.

No team from England has ever won a game at the Euro Winners Cup.

Our squad of ten players has eight England players and we're going to give it a damn good shot.

Anyone interested might be able to catch our games live online. I'll post links when known.

It'd be great to think we've got the support of Foxestalk.

England, yes.

I saw they were in white but it wasn't HD enough for me to see if it was an England kit lol

Good goal, Though I gather from the highlights the blues won?

I attended the draw for the Euro Winners Cup 2016 in Catania, Sicily this morning.

We have been drawn in Group G with SC Braga (Portuguese champions), ASP Constanta (Romanian champions) and CS Djoker Chisinau (Moldovan champions).

To be honest I think we're in the best possible group. SC Braga should win the group but we should have a chance against the other two teams.

I think Group B is the 'group of death'.

Our first match is on 23rd May.
