Stokie74 Posted 6 February 2016 Posted 6 February 2016 As a stoke fan, I have nothing but admiration for what you have achieved this season, you absolutely tore us apart in your deserved 3-0 against us the other week, your the real deal this season and I hope your players believe it because I would be delighted to see you win the prem this season . A great statement for us lower clubs. Good luck for rest of season , your top because you deserve to be :-)
Finnegan Posted 6 February 2016 Posted 6 February 2016 The only people in the country other than Man City and Arsenal fans (pipe down Spurs, you're not winning anything) that shouldn't want us to win the league are bitter fans of similar sized clubs or contrary hipsters who don't want to admit liking Leicester because everyone else does.

Or, in the case of Palace fans, smaller clubs. They probably fit into the contrary hipsters category as well if we're honest.
Lucsar Posted 6 February 2016 Posted 6 February 2016 I'm not even from england and i'm cheering for u guys.
halibut Posted 6 February 2016 Posted 6 February 2016 I believe that it's simply Leicester's style and quality of football that's winning over the neutrals. If any underdog was top of the table playing negative football, response from the neturals wouldn't be so supportive.
Spudulike Posted 6 February 2016 Posted 6 February 2016 The Premier League will never be the same again after this season.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 6 February 2016 Posted 6 February 2016 It makes perfect sense for neutrals to want Leicester to win the title. It gives all the fans of all the real clubs, supported by real supporters up and down the country belief that they too can emulate the success. It breathes fresh life in to a predictable, often boring competition. We've not seen a real football club win the title since Blackburn\Leeds over 20 years ago (you could argue for Man City too, but they've become a bloated, loathsome, money monster). In Scotland it's been over 30 years, and the pattern is repeated in many European leagues. Football is about the underdog. The big dream. David and Goliath. It's pantomime - 'behind you' Today the pantomime villain is Man City, and Leicester is the swashbuckling, handsome young hero. I'll be watching the Leicester boys and sending all positive energies and prayers for you guys. I'm a Hibs fan living in Sao Paulo and I can tell you EVERYONE here is talking about and wanting Leicester to do the business !! Good luck. Cheers budUp the Foxes
Spudulike Posted 6 February 2016 Posted 6 February 2016 I'm almost starting to feel a responsibility to get this done. Just brilliant how real fans of so many other clubs have reacted to our story. Just really, really hope that we don't let anyone down
Countryfox Posted 6 February 2016 Posted 6 February 2016 No such thing as a neutral. There are people that watch football, follow their team and hate every other team, and those that don't watch football and who's opinions mean absolutely nothing. True football supporters not only support only their own team but also hate a few teams (usually close neighbours) much more than other teams.
Knightonthetoon Posted 6 February 2016 Posted 6 February 2016 Does it really make sense for a fan of a club not challenging for the title to back and support Leicester? Of course it is great to have someone different, but overnight the traditional top 6 would become the top 7....making it even tougher for clubs like Palace to break into the top 4. Not only does it make sense, its refreshing that a club like Leicester could win the premier league, The Toon army would love to see you win it, because it will be good for football. The win against Manchester city shows the class of the current squad and Manager, seen you lot play against Newcastle and was well impressed, Carry on the good work,
foxes_rule1978 Posted 6 February 2016 Posted 6 February 2016 It is why we enjoy the underdog movies, it is natural for a human who has no connections to root for the underdog.
Countryfox Posted 6 February 2016 Posted 6 February 2016 its refreshing that a club like Leicester could win the premier league, Makes us sound like a pint of lager. The Toon army would love to see you win it, What all of them !! My mates a Newc fan and he hates us .... so you probably mean all bar one.
almiric Posted 6 February 2016 Posted 6 February 2016 Hello, i will tell you some info from my Country Bosnia. FAPL is most popular league here, of course after our domestic (poor but our) league, and almost every second football fan support some of the English clubs, with more or less sensibility. It is very difficult for us to watch live as we need visas and it is expensive, but a lot of people managed at least once to visit the stadium of the supported club, live in match week. I am personally Man UTD fan since Cantona played there. Well, my friends who support different teams, per example Liverpool, Arsenal, West Ham, Chelsea, and Man UTD as well, we all do not want other teams to make it except Leicester (of course if our teams can't) - we are unit in that opinion.. but believe me, not just because i do not want City to take it, or my friend doesn't want man utd to take it etc, trust me everybody are delighted with the way Leicester play this season and only for the good of the football as a game and fun - you deserve it because you prove it, and it has to be yours this year. No one, including Man Utd as my club, or City and Arsenal, i repeat no one deserve it this year more than your team. It would be a shame if Leicester fail to win it. This will be good for the football generally. I do not like what City and Chelsea do, and now with this LVG Man UTD are doing same, only spending big, big money, i do not like that even i love Man UTD. That's why i am on your side, without big money, with the passion and vision, without fear and with brave play, with loyal supporters behind the club - YOU DESERVE THIS MORE THAN ANYBODY - this year. i do not know do you aloud the fans of other clubs to make more or many posts here, i apologize if anyone will find this irritated, but as a football fan i really like and wanted to express my opinion about the most interested club at this moment..your club. All the best from Bosnia and i will continue to follow your success this year.

I despise about half the teams in this league, but Leicester are something else. Your accomplishment is honorable, your manager a gentleman and true mastermind, the playing style pure class on your day, and doing it up the bum to the status quo the cherry on the cake. Some of you i reckon should rather welcome all the support Leicester can get rather than being condescending cents about it, because things can always take a different turn as well.

NomadskiEFC Posted 6 February 2016 Posted 6 February 2016 If I can give you an old Evertonians viewpoint on it... I wish what has happened to you guys this season could have happened to us, totally jealous, but completely admiring the way you are doing it. You aren't lucking it (cept maybe that game at Goodison...), you aren't playing in an 'anti-football' way. You are kicking teams out of the park with exceptional football, incredible teamwork, energy and tactics. You deserve where you find yourself, I personally hope you stay there and stick one up in the face of the Sky Four. Doesn't make me support my club any less to appreciate miracles can happen. Keep it up lads.

Thank you for the kind words about our team. However .... if I want to be flippant about football supporters and put on a slightly light hearted comment about them whilst on a fookin great high after beating the mighty ManCiteh ... then i will. And to be perfectly honest whether you support us or not is not that important to me.

I haven't become a Leicester fan. I'm not one of these glory hunters suddenly jumping on the bandwagon cause you're top of the league, simply because I'm WH through and through just the way it has to be. But if you can give two fingers to the status quo AND prevent the Scum (spuds) from winning it, then i'm all for cheering for you guys and be happy for what you've achieved. Makes sense?

fencfc Posted 6 February 2016 Posted 6 February 2016 Of course it makes sense. I have been a Chelsea fan since I can remember but appreciate any team playing well. I came to this forum with intrigue which is something I have never done before. What with our disappointing season, it has been amazing to see an underdog do so well. Up until a few weeks ago I thought the wheels would fall off and the so called 'bigger' teams would take advantage. How wrong I was. Today has proved that you guys can go all the way and I'll be rooting for you. As others have said, it's refreshing to see a team who no one would have predicted to get anywhere near the top four, top the BPL. Hopefully we will be back in the mix next year (I am by no means a foxes fan ) but as for this season, good luck chaps and I hope you go all the way . . I'd be surprised if anyone one of you were sober enough to read this!
Webbo Posted 6 February 2016 Posted 6 February 2016 There's no end of people joined the forum tonight, most of them away fans.
