Len Finsbury Posted 16 March 2016 Posted 16 March 2016 I used to buy quite expensive suits and had them dry cleaned religiously. After a while though (usually about 2 years), they always started to look and feel tired so i'd buy another one. I'd spend around £400 on a suit then dry clean it every 3 months at about £30 a time but then have to replace it every couple of years. Now, I buy a suit from Burtons for £100. They look and feel fine and then after 6 months, I give it to a charity shop and buy a new one. Cheaper and when I'm eating a boneless banquet in the car, if a bit of the colonels finest drops onto my trouser leg, I dont cry about it. Wait... what? This is a euphemism, yes?
Countryfox Posted 16 March 2016 Posted 16 March 2016 Wait... what? This is a euphemism, yes? 18 certificate imo Len.
Great Boos Up Posted 16 March 2016 Posted 16 March 2016 Come the summer a suit is too hot and heavy. I buy two pairs of trousers and a waistcoat. No Jacket required; but you will go through trousers very quickly. After time get 3 sets of these and look smart and new everyday of your working life.
Guest ttfn Posted 16 March 2016 Posted 16 March 2016 Got some cracking CT shirts in their sale (plain blue and plain white, mental). £20 each and they are brilliant quality. They have loads of different sleeve lengths which is handy if you're strangely proportioned like me.
Itsthejoeker Posted 16 March 2016 Author Posted 16 March 2016 Could just not wear a suit I have to wear a suit, there isn't much choice involved in the matter.

No.If you are not going to wear a jacket, do not wear a waistcoat. In fact do not buy a waistcoat at all. Terrible advice.
Rincewind Posted 27 March 2016 Posted 27 March 2016 I'm wearing a waistcoat now. Handy for pocket watches. I like em.
