An Away Move Posted 21 April 2016 Posted 21 April 2016 The club have done everything they can all season long to bring positive energy into, right through and surrounding our club. I think it's a Buddhist thing. There's the lucky elephants at the stadium, the prayer flags, the monks, the 'positive line painted on the home dressing room floor', the pictorial 'mandalas' next to the home dressing room if you look closely on player cam. Whether you like them or not the clappers, the free beer...... It's all about creating the right energy. Perhaps it is no accident they even employed the most positive and charming manager on the world stage to lead us. And after our fairytale season the whole country and fans around the globe pretty much wants us to win this league. We have been riding a crest of positive energy right up until that ****ing Dark Sith Lord of a unreferee came into our midst and cast his dark spells of ****eduppery. It has left a really bad taste and some lingering rancour. I'm still trying to get over it to be honest. And that is my fear. We need to try and leave last Sunday behind and like Claudio likes to drill into his players concentrate on the next game. Unaffectedly so by last week's shenanigans. Maybe you've already moved on. I have been struggling to let it go. So, now I've got that off my chest, I hope others who might have been holding on can find some way too. Let's sing and bounce loudly and cheer them over the line like the best 12th man our team could ever wish for!
Ricey Posted 21 April 2016 Posted 21 April 2016 I think once Sunday arrives, the negativity of this week will be gone and everyone will be up for the match. My worry is that if the game rolls on and it's a frustrating affair, like the Norwich match, that the negativity will return.

It's for roaring them on no matter what!
Aeropars Posted 21 April 2016 Posted 21 April 2016 A win against Swansea will settle the nerves again. We're down because of a referee performance, not because of a team performance. The team will still be confident, cool and collected as they always are to go again, again, again and again until the end of the season.
katieakita Posted 21 April 2016 Posted 21 April 2016 Spurs had the chance to go top after we drew with WBA 7 games ago, they blew it losing to West Ham who we have just drawn with and should have won sadly a Mr J Moss intervened. Spurs then had the opportunity to go top by beating Arsenal a team well known for its fighting spirit!! Spurs went 2-1 up with Arsenal down to 10 men putting themselves top for 23 minutes, Arsenal came back to draw and could have should have won and Spurs should have had a player also sent off. So despite according to the London based media Spurs playing the best football of all time and Leicester City playing some of the worse Spurs have gone from being top to 5pts behind with 4 to play I could go on. What is there not to be positive about, the title is ours to lose.
harpendenfox Posted 21 April 2016 Posted 21 April 2016 I think the positive energy thing is a point well made. It's all about supporting our boys rather than creating anxiety. Everything was almost too hyper on Sunday. Vards, who was magnificent, was so up for it that I did worry he'd make a rash tackle, and as we all know there are a lot of fine margins in football. I have little doubt Claudio will have them focussed on the job in hand, and I do feel that if we play to the best of our ability (barring poor decisions etc) we will win
ian_marshall Posted 21 April 2016 Posted 21 April 2016 In all fairness prior to the West Ham game, that match looked the most difficult out of all of the remaining fixtures as they are a good side and had something to play for so a draw was not a bad result. Having watched the dire performance that Swansea
ian_marshall Posted 21 April 2016 Posted 21 April 2016 In all fairness prior to the West Ham game, that match looked the most difficult out of all of the remaining fixtures as they are a good side and had something to play for so a draw was not a bad result. Having watched the dire performance that Swansea served up last Saturday, and seeing the reaction to Everton's performance last night we should be taking maximum points from both games. Whilst trying not to state the obvious, that leaves us with 2 pts to pick up from the other 2 games which I think we're more than capable of. Also despite all the negativity largely inspired by both the media, Tottenham's impressive scorelines, and some nervousness at our end, over the last 8 league games we have the better form and have accrued 2 more points so I don't quite understand why people are starting to panic.
clark Posted 21 April 2016 Posted 21 April 2016 I agree with this, we have to cheer and really go for it. We must score first, otherwise the mood will sink and it could be hard to come back. I hope we find a goal from somewhere in the team.
Arriba Los Zorros Posted 21 April 2016 Posted 21 April 2016 Yes, this is a good point. If we are nervous and tetchy during the game and fail to be the 12th man for the players, and end up losing the title because of it, we'll all look back with regrets over the years. Plenty of time in the future to be miserable and quiet at games when the title is not at stake
Voll Blau Posted 21 April 2016 Posted 21 April 2016 This is the third such thread we've had on this in the past few days. Hope people are willing to gee up their fellow fans inside the ground as much as they are on here. Will make for a fantastic atmosphere if so.

Plenty of time in the future to be miserable and quiet at games when the title is not at stake Great point.......the time to be quiet and miserable has come and hopefully gone for good be it examples like Stoke away when we drew and went into league one or 1982 when we lost to Spurs in the FA Cup Semi but like many long standing fans this is bloody unbelievable what is happening to our great club.....be young, old, firm or unfirm be loud....really loud as we may never experience this again......and as a grey haired old wrinkly fan I will be standing on my chair shouting and singing my head off as I never thought I would ever see City compete for top honours...... Fellow foxes be loud and be proud b it first or second digest what that means and we will be alright!!!

We've never had it so good and shouldn't be allowing pressure to affect us. Pressure is off as we've already achieved the aim we had to of staying in the PL for the bumper TV deal. This is a moment to enjoy, historic point in the history of LCFC and one we will probably never savour again
Fox92 Posted 21 April 2016 Posted 21 April 2016 We don't need these threads. If people aren't up for Sunday then I genuinely don't know what games they can get up for. As always I'll be behind the boys for the full 90 on Sunday. I know I'll be nervous when I get to my seat - probably earlier actually - but we all (including the players) need to overcome that. Massive game. Must win.
Jacafox Posted 21 April 2016 Posted 21 April 2016 I have lost my voice at various matches,no doubt the same Sunday, I'm in SK2,and three young lads next to me never sing, last week they left at West Ham's second goal. They also missed Ulloa's Norwich late winner. I think I need to have a word in their ears, everybody needs to be behind the team 1000%.
Sindidragon Posted 21 April 2016 Posted 21 April 2016 Positivity is the key. The first rule to success is forming the belief that something can happen. If we think that we can be champions then the energy of this thought will make it happen. It's that simple. On Sunday we should roar and cheer the boys on the full 90 minutes. We have got it in the team to score, don't forget Vardy didn't score for several games and Huth, Morgan and Mahrez all chipped in. We should play Mahrez as a striker with Schlupp as a storming winger ... Come on lads we can do this....sing your hearts out...keep the spirit up...remember fearless.....foxes don't quit
step Posted 21 April 2016 Posted 21 April 2016 When will we hear the outcome of the FA investigation into the Vardy incident
Guest CityFan 06 Posted 22 April 2016 Posted 22 April 2016 Good post regarding being the 12th man for the team. I absolutely agree and our home support has been vital all season. It's so helpful for the players and sometimes you can visibly see that. If we can all come together as one, as one fanbase, and support this team who have given us so much happiness this season, I'm hopeful we can win the title. A solid victory against Swansea would be magnificent as I feel we need a good home win, given the games we've got coming up, winning will put us in an even more ideal position. Togetherness. Hope. Positivity. Belief. We can do this. Who are we? Blue Army!
SlaneyLCFC Posted 22 April 2016 Posted 22 April 2016 Can you imagine the positivity this board will have if we beat the swans and spuds lose to WBA? will be a joy to behold.
