Kasper 7 - Frankly, had nothing of note to do. Could've let the Sigurdsson free kick go wide. Good distribution and I once more reiterate how vital it is that we have a goalie who is comfortable getting the ball to feet. It nullifies the opposition attackers' pressurising. Dealt well with a high, awkward backpass from Fuchs well too.

Simpson 7 - Wasn't troubled much. Held his position well and it was a joy to see the defensive organisation with Drinky, Huth and Mahrez down his side. Superb communication and team work.

Morgan 8 - Had one or two raids up the pitch, which we all love. Paloschi, Ayew and Sigurdsson were second best all game, bar one or two headers first half. Good distribution.

Huth 7 - Standard rock. I like that he knows his limitations and makes the right decisions based on this knowledge. Clears it when in doubt, although this take his rating down by one. His tandem with Fuchs is as good as any.

Fuchs 8 - So good in the air. Good distribution and hardly troubled either.

Mahrez 9 - Was that spark we needed today. At the right place when Williams panicked and as cool a finish as you like. A joy to watch when he's on this form. Yesterday his team work was the most impressive thing though. Even with license to roam and stay up front and inside, he tracked back so much and nicked possession a few times. Was dead on his feet after 90 minutes.

Drinkwater 7 - Not his best performance, with notably some sloppy passes and tackles. Excellent work rate as ever, good defensive covering.

Kanté 8 - As we've come to expect from him. Unlucky to lose out on PFA award. In my opinion, the best in the world at what he does.

Schlupp 8 - He's certainly entertaining! What about those afterburners for the third goal??? Vardy would've been proud. Terrible end product, but so happy he gets an assist and superb call by Ranieri.

Okazaki 7 - Did what he's done all season. One decent chance created by Mahrez when we were starting to dominate. He runs a lot, but still surprised he wasn't on for 90 minutes.

Ulloa 9 - We didn't miss Vardy and he is the reason. Got two well-taken goals and worked ever so hard. Hopefully he's alright to feature against Man Utd if Vardy's suspension is extended.

Subs:

King 6 - Great run for his chance(s), but rusty finishing. Was somewhat fortunate that his header back across goal for the fourth wasn't cleared. I was surprised he didn't head it goalwards.

Albrighton 7 - Only on for 10 minutes, but ironically gets a goal in the game he doesn't start. Happy for him, he looked relieved to stick one in.

Gray 7 - Brilliant little cameo. The lad has pace and end product! Promises well for next season.

Ranieri 9 - Had questions to answer and boy did his 'Caesars' answer them! We have squad depth, we are tactically flexible and we have a manager who's been impressive managing his squad.

Ranieri -10- Got it spot on again. Shlupp in was just what was needed as his pace is frightening. Great subs too.

Kasper -7- Not much to do. I can only remember one save, which I think was going wide anyway.

Simpson -7- Another solid game.
Morgan -7- Nearly a slip at the beginning of the match, but otherwise untroubled. Great spirit to sprint back to earn us the free kick for our second.
Huth -7- Pretty much an easy game for him.
Fuchs -7- Another good game.

Mahrez -8- Well taken first goal and never stopped working. Stepped up to the plate today when it was needed.
Drinkwater -8- Thought he was superb. Fantastic cross for Ulloa's first.
Kante -7- His usual here there and everywhere performance, but slightly out of sorts.
Schlupp -8- He has no idea what he's doing, so neither do defenders.....which makes him the player he is!

Okazaki -7- Ran and ran. Just never stops working.
Ulloa -8.5- Like Mahrez, he stepped up and took responsibility. Two goals and not only led the line well, but defended well too. MOTM.

Subs:
Gray -7.5- Stunning run to set up forth goal. Looks very exciting and maybe ready to step into Mahrez's boots if Mahrez thinks the grass in greener elsewhere.
King -7- Really got involved in the short time he was on. Shame he didn't score.
Albrighton -7- Nice goal and didn't sulk after being relegated to the bench. Top attitude and been huge for us this season.

Officials -8- Best I've seen this season. Spoke to players quietly and professionally. Let the game flow. Moss should look at that and be ashamed of his dire performance last week.

Swansea -3- Ready for their summer holidays. I was very pleased with their attitude in what was a crucial match for us, especially after Man Ure and Stoke rolling over so easily for spuds.

On we go. Five more points, or less if spuds drop points.  I like Ranieri thinks spuds will win all 4 games, because I do too. We've won nothing yet. Man Ure will be tough as they are in better form. Just hope they are thinking of the cup final rather than us. Attitude like Swansea's will suit us fine please! Fingers crossed WBA will show the same attitude as they did against us, rather than the piss poor performances Man Ure and Stoke put up against spuds.

Bar a 10 min spell before half time, I thought it was a pretty fantastic performance. Reminded me of our Championship winning season where we literally were like a steam train most weeks at home.

Kasper 8 - Didnt have anything to do

Simpson 9 - I think he was the best of the back 4. So good in the air, too

Huth 7 - Loses a mark for silly fouls that led to a booking

Morgan 8 - Man mountain

Mahrez 9 - Back to his best. Deceptively quick and a fantastic finish when the chance wasn't an easy one

Drinkwater 8 - Nervy first ten mins but afterwards good. Some lovely passing

Kante 8- Slightly quieter game from him but everywhere as usual

Schlupp 8 - Such a threat with his pace and power. Imagine if he had a bit of composure too....

Okasaki 6- Sorry but he's no goal threat at all and I don't see this linking play stuff everyone else seems to. To me, he moslty falls over a lot and gets pushed off the ball

Ulloa 9 - What a man MOTM

Subs were all great too - such a brilliant squad

Honestly I would give everyone a 6 except Mahrez, Ulloa and Gray 7s.

We didn't actually play that well, the first 10 minutes we were poor then we scored, the result was never in doubt but we did miss Vardy and what he contributes to the game. There were 3 real moments of class, Mahrez's finish, Drinkwater's cross and Gray's run. Other than that some nice passes and flicks and the usual hard work off the ball. Really it was one of our worst performances for a while, we got the goals at the right time to kill off a poor Swansea. Based on the high standards we have set this season, a very average performance.

Don't get me wrong, I'm as happy as a pig in shit, it was an awesome result, but just not a great performance. Am I the only one that thought that?

Wow! You must have watched a completely different game to me!

I am with Alf Bentley, I can see your point as we was really shocking in first 15 minutes and had a huge slice of luck (and a cool finish from Mahrez) for our first which helped to settle us down and to knock down Swansea's spirit a bit.  However I thought we really showed our class after our second and in second half as we stayed hungry and created chances. Kante and Drinkwater were not at their best for sure though.

It will be a very different story if it stayed goalless until HT I feel though.

Not really these boys have ripped up trees all season, Swansea were poor, we didn't have to be anything other than average to win 4-0

Schmeichel had nothing to do, one shot on target was straight at him, usual mixed bag of distribution: 6

Simpson: Couple of tackles, couple of interceptions didn't get forwards much: Average 6

Huth: Pretty standard won everything in the air a few needless fouls, were under very little pressure: Average 6

Morgan: Like Huth except did very well to win the free kick, but other than that nothing I wouldn't expect: 6

Fuchs: One excellent tackle, other than that pretty standard: 6

Drinkwater: Some wayward passing and tackling for Danny, but an excellent ball in for Ulloa: 6

Kante: only recovered the ball 11 times, below average for Kante, passing was a bit off: 6

Schlupp: Either an 8 for effort and energy a 4 for decision making: Averages out to 6

Mahrez: Looked back to his best at times, superb finish, but guilty of giving the ball away trying to take on one too many player: 7

Okakzaki: plenty of energy, but very little end product:  6

Ulloa: great header for the first, great desire for the second, linked up well and was MOTM I'll bump him up to an 8

Gray: Excellent running and some class touches: 7

King and Albrighton: Didn't have much to do but combined for the 4th: 6

I still think it was one of our worst performances for a while, not a bad performance, but we were disjointed and we were missing Vardy. Swansea were appalling and we were just a lot better than them despite being fairly average.

Swansea were beaten on 20 minutes, they rallied slightly after half time, but they caused us very few problems our back 5 were comfortable all game, there were passages of play where they had the ball in safe areas and we let them. We burst into life a few times, but it was so comfortable that we didn't need to raise our game.

Schmeichel 7- Great movement for their free kick- I am not buying that he could have left it as it would be risky. Consistent in his goal kicking and all other areas

Simpson 7- Dependable without being special
Morgan 7-  Thought he came out of his half bit more than usual but some intelligent balls and solid defending. Led like a leader which is impressive especially as I thought he got bit hot under the collar last week.
Huth 8-  Some of his headers, blocks and clearances were superb.  I have always thought he played at a standard just under Morgan all season but in last two weeks, he have matched Morgan completely.
Fuchs 8-  Superb game- back at his best. I was willing him to get his first goal when he had his free kick.

Mahrez 8.5-  Funny enough, I thought he deserved his rating largely down to his defensive work. Some great interceptions and a cool finish for the goal. I thought he has really took on Vardy's mantle of being the star player that rest of the team look up to.
Drinkwater 6.5- Some sloppy passes and was not at his best in first half. Came into his own in second but that was partly due to Swansea switching off after our second.
Kante 7-  Did his usual work without being spectacular. He usually made at least one significant attacking run or key pass but it was absent yesterday.

Schlupp 7.5-  Terrible in first half hour but got better as the game went on. You could see his confidence growing as he settled back into the team.

Okazaki 6-  An enigma this one but I do think he is starting to get away with from any criticism for being included in the team due to his contribution to our style- his chance from Mahrez's pass is something that he need to do more frequently.

Ulloa 9- MOTM- Did everything so so so well- Linked up the play brilliantly, his defensive work was seamless and he was in right place at right time which is what we needed as Okazaki is incapable of doing that. What impressed me the most is his cooliness on the ball and how he dribbled out of trouble on few ocassions to keep our attacking momentum going.

Subs
Gray 7.5- I am starting to believe even more in his potential. He had a really cool head on his shoulder for someone of his age but also for his position. His vision was superb for King's chance which led to Albrighton's goal. I am starting to feel lot better about Mahrez's eventual departure.
King 7- Fitted in the team so seamlessly and supported Mahrez well when both of our strikers came off
Albrighton 7- Chuffed that he got a goal especially when he had to make the way for tactical reasons which is bit harsh on him.  I really liked how he greeted Schlupp when he came off. I felt his goal was the perfect compensation for him.

Ranieri- 8 I thought he deserved a 8 for starting Schlupp and playing absolutely right subs but I thought he kept both of our strikers on for too long especially that we was 3-0 up.  He could have protected them both for Man Utd and we would be screwed if Ulloa's back pain developed into something more serious.

I don't understand peoples fascination with giving players .5 ratings. Either round it up or round it down, it's not hard! It's not big, it's not clever, and it doesn't impress your friends  lol

I'm intrigued what they actually vote for on the survey with there being no .5 voting options!

Exactly! They have to round it up or down for the survey but then put .5 scores with all their comments - bizzare! lol

OK, I'll be the first to hold my hands up, because I do give .5 ratings. I agree it's mad because on the main survey I always round it up to the whole figure! I just think it's handy if a player is not worth an 8 but giving a 7 is a bit harsh, especially if he was slightly better than a player I gave a 7 too. It's also handy for a MOTM if so many players do well, but there is just something that one player did which is that bit extra.

Maybe it's something to do with the hot sun out here (or the beer)....'mad dogs and Englishmen go out in the midday sun'

I take it you are referring to me amongst others. I will not explain why I give players .5 ratings as Thai Fox has summed it perfectly for me because it just help to differentiate players bit more further.  I just do not get your OTT reaction as I fail to see how giving players .5 ratings can make me look clever ?   :dunno:

Perhaps it is you who wanted to look clever and impress others by giving others on here stick?

I'm intrigued too myself as I usually just went with my gut feeling at the time!
