Raj Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 Lennox Lewis won Olympic gold for Canada. Then represented GB for His pro career. What would people say if Mo Farah decided to run for Somali? This thread just shows peoples true colours when it's a Pakistani lad who's in question. Stop hating...it's not healthy!!!
Dames Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 Not too fussed about who he represents but it would be an absolute calamity for his career if he lost to an amatuer fighter. He would definitely lose what little credibilty he has left.

I'd not really thought of it as a Pakistani thing raj until you bought it up but you might be right. I don't take massive issue with it, as I'm not a keen follower of Kahn, and I quite like to see him fail. I'm not sure why maybe he has overhyped himself somewhat and fallen way short of what was predicted.
fuchsntf Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 If he qualifies he would go, How does anyone know he wouldn't get picked ?? Thats mental staying this as fact "he knows it" none of us know that , why wouldn't he get picked ?? Your soccer analogy is all wrong .... Here is the right way to look at it Harry Kane his father is from Galway in Ireland, his family are steeped in the Irish community in north london , he is the most valuable English player at preset and has chosen to play for England good on him no issues he views himself as English and is English But How would English people feel if after this championship he decided to go play for ireland , he declares "right lads I loved that experience with England at france 2016 but I want to go play for my fathers country now in the World Cup so cheers and good bye" He would Get pelters ! Right fecking pelters ! And rightly so ! If you are British/English Your British how on earth can you now become Pakistani ? If he felt he was packistani then he should have made that call and fought for them at the olymipics (And I would have no issue with that ) Just seems to me to be being British is something you can flip in and out of , and therein lies the reason why this great nation is loosing its sense of identity. We were never great, we never had an identity...all peoples lived and died for this countrys soul. We are all immigrants , settlers, or relations to invaders. We are like a great stew, with all ingredients thrown in, we probably even stole the idea of pastry, so we could put this meltingpot of stew into a pie. We are just a bunch of arrogant, brash, big heads who gave ourselves the title great. But it is OURS, we just have problems trying to decipher who belongs the "OURS" Anybody who claim its the others fault, have the best claim, like the best whore, we are the best bcos we moan and groan the most and loudest. If you read the small print in your passport, your only a citizen of all its dependencies.
BoneDog Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 I'm not sure Khan needs to rebuild his career as some think. Pretty sure he's still got pull and can get fights against almost anyone. He's had many good fights and always tries to put on a show for boxing fans.
BoneDog Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 He only wants to box for Pakistan because he's a shithouse who won't fight Brook and he just got pasted by Canelo. Brook/Khan reminds me of Hatton/Witter. People want to see it but probably won't happen.
lestajigs Posted 6 June 2016 Posted 6 June 2016 Brook/Khan reminds me of Hatton/Witter. People want to see it but probably won't happen. Bit different I rekon, witter was no way on Hattons level, brook Khan will go either way, only thing the same is the fight probally will never happen , if it did I hate to say it but I rekon Khan would win
