AKCJ Posted 25 June 2016 Posted 25 June 2016 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ra%C3%BAl_(footballer) He's got some pretty decent stats. Getting on a bit though.

Guest Bob Hazels shorts Posted 25 June 2016 Posted 25 June 2016 Remeber seeing this on here a year or so ago + dug up................. Leicester City have appointed Dave Worthington, the brother of legendary ex-player Frank, as their Spanish-based European scout. Worthington made 293 league appearances for Grimsby Town between 1966 and 1973 but has arguably had more success in scouting for six Premier League clubs. The 70-year-old scout was hired by Chelsea in 2007 before working in Portugal and Spain for Hull City's former boss Phil Brown. He has close ties to Sam Allardyce, having been the much-travelled manager's eyes in Spain, France and Portugal during his spells at Bolton Wanderers, Blackburn Rovers and West Ham. He confirmed on social media this week: "Delighted to be working for my new club, Leicester City, my seventh Premier league appointment! "Hope I can bring some personal experience and some quality players to add to their miraculous endeavours from last season." Worthington claims to watch up to four games every week, travelling to matches by car and plane from his base in Barcelona. "I've had some great times and seen some fantastic games," he added. "Not just for work but also for pleasure. One of the perks of the job is living within travelling distance of the Nou Camp and the Bernabeu." - See more at: https://www.clubcall...h.vtDBmGyN.dpuf

weller54 Posted 26 June 2016 Posted 26 June 2016 Fantastic..., any clues on who he might have dug up before? King Richard!
Callabinho Posted 26 June 2016 Posted 26 June 2016 I've yet to see one of these signings pay off. It always seems they're appear sporadically before pissing off.
Gerard Posted 26 June 2016 Posted 26 June 2016 He'll be a good signing even if he's just a good player for the development squad and leaves in a few years on a free without ever playing a first team game. We stayed up by the skin of our teeth last season but it's important that we play top flight to challenge our top players like Chilwell at that level. That's probably why we've had players well into their 20's on the books and not released them but are obviously never going to step up to the first team like James Pearson and Jacob Blyth.
Molson Canadian Posted 27 June 2016 Posted 27 June 2016 Has he been involved in any of the Spanish International Youth Teams ?
