An observation I noted, was that with some of the players we are linked with and some who we are seemingly trying to sign, I get the impression the club are looking at achieving a balance between maintaining English talent, and also continuing to invest likewise, in European players. Below are a few namely examples I've compiled together. So, from my view I think Ranieri/management/scouts are intending to look close to home on what English players could offer us, and to then look abroad as well, to give us the best opportunity of potential signings who could suit us. English players we're linked with (ones that have played regularly in English football): Brady, Keane, Deeney, Allen. European players we're linked with (ones that have played regularly in European football): Ben Arfa, Slimani, Musa, Mendy.

I'm sure he's aware they aren't English. He is just using it as a catch all term for people in our system. I've said the same myself, you look at our way of buying and it doesn't follow one path. Some people just buy foreign as they are cheaper, some only invest in youth. I think we actively target a mix, some from the English leagues (Whether English, Welsh or foreign like Huth, Kasper), some from foreign leagues, some experience and then some young talent. I think we end up with a nice mix that way.
