freund Posted 24 September 2005 Posted 24 September 2005 a very good result, although we lost, just what levein asked for. fortress walkers. brilliant
Northants Fox Posted 24 September 2005 Posted 24 September 2005 yes this is definately progres. anyone who disagrees is banned from the forum Now that i do agree with you on
Steven Posted 24 September 2005 Posted 24 September 2005 CL and Jon Sanders blaming the ref. No. It was the same shit ref for both sides. <_<
PRIOR09 Posted 24 September 2005 Posted 24 September 2005 yeh exactly, lets blame the ref for the awful start to the season. its not the refs fault we are doing poorly.
PRIOR09 Posted 24 September 2005 Posted 24 September 2005 are people listening to the radio Leicester phone in? this lady is saying we didnt play well today.
Anish Posted 24 September 2005 Posted 24 September 2005 Levein blamed Maybury for losing the game. A bit harsh but I can see where he's coming from - it was such a disadvantage and even Levein admitted Maybury was reckless.
breadandcheese Posted 24 September 2005 Posted 24 September 2005 Although it is impossible to say, it did sound like we were comfortable with 10 against 11. With 11 men on the pitch for 70 mins, we would have been able to QPR under more pressure.

A bit harsh but I can see where he's coming from - it was such a disadvantage and even Levein admitted Maybury was reckless. Just listened to a bit of the phone in on the computer, texts coming as well calling for Leviens head, who the hell would we get who's better no one and they know it.
BAFox Posted 24 September 2005 Posted 24 September 2005 Just got back from the game, very dissapointed. to be fair we actually played better with 10 men............. much more effort but how many chances to we need to score, air kicks, off target i`m starting to get worried about our lack of goals. One last point whats with the idiots in L1, to chant "your just a town full of bombers" to the QPR fans was a disgrace, I hope the club identify you and ban you for life, we dont need idiot fans like you.
PRIOR09 Posted 24 September 2005 Posted 24 September 2005 yeh that's bad! i couldnt go to the game today, but could someone tell me if there people calling for CL's head in the stands. chants, conversations, muttering..... anything that was indicating they would like to see him go?

King Kyle lcfc Posted 24 September 2005 Posted 24 September 2005 No nobody was calling for leveins head just chanting you don't know what your doing when he wante d to make a sub and chanting what a load of rubbish after the game but craig said the fans were brilliant today and supported us really well! Get real craig most of them were either silent or complete morons with their chanting.
cisono Posted 24 September 2005 Posted 24 September 2005 Maybury off. Well done the fool. What exactly happened? Couldn't see well from my seat. I had the impression that, following what was a slightly sloppy pass by Paddy, Maybury tried to run to the rescue, but his challenge was somewhat late. After that, could see nothing at all, just shouting and pushing, until a red and yellow card were shown - and we were down to 10 men. Why exactly Maybury was red-carded, I am not too sure... surely not the challenge itself, but the ensuing altercations? and how many yellows were handed out today overall?!?!?! I lost count!
Hazza Posted 24 September 2005 Posted 24 September 2005 There were a few Levein out chants aswell, and the 'you don't know what you're doing' ones are hardly positive. Personally i wouldn't welcome it but if we lose on Tuesday i can see him walking, if those rumours about him not settling have any substance. Things have to improve though, the level of football has gone down to pretty much Micky Adams standard, and results are just poor. The game itself was horrible, neither side played any good football and the ref was a joke.
King Kyle lcfc Posted 24 September 2005 Posted 24 September 2005 From what i saw of the maybury incident a qpr player went in 2 footed on him and while the qpr player was on the floor maybury kicked him so he deserved to go fo hitting out but a qpr player ran over to maybury and looked like he hit him so he should of been sent of aswell.
Sparky Posted 24 September 2005 Posted 24 September 2005 i thought today that we lacked any ideas how to break qpr down . joey ran his heart out but he dosent ever look like opening defences up and he is an ideal partner to a more creative midfielder . kisnorbos passing was atrocious , he has got a good engine but thats about it .for me hughes has to play central midfield purely for his vision and range of passing, sylla seems to be getting worse game by game , he ALWAYS turns away from goal and does a few stupid tricks then gets disposesed . i know that people want to give levein thier backing but this is his team now and results are getting worse , im afraid that the pressure is on now craig and this is a results buisness
Mark Posted 24 September 2005 Posted 24 September 2005 We lined up defensive from the start, two central midfielders in the middle is pathetic at home. Levein is more worried about the opponents strengths instead of ours, he was well aware of their threat from set pieces, but within 15 minutes they've scored from one. And then when we do actually get a goal and look on top of things, off goes Hughesy, the only creative player in the midfield, for Danny Tiatto, another defensive midfielder? What the hell is going on? That tells me Levein was happy to settle for a point, disgusting. If Hughes had to go off then Williams should have come on. Be positive FFS and play to our strengths. Our strengths is not defending, it WAS attacking and scoring a few goals until Levein put a stop to that after Stoke. One positive, Elvis getting a goal. Delighted for him.

EmLeee Posted 24 September 2005 Posted 24 September 2005 Can some one explain why Maybury was actually sent off? I saw nothing wrong....
