Not a great lover of Babs but I really don't see what he has said wrong here. Some of you must suffer really bad PMT if a comment like bab's upsets you. Parps a little growing up needs to happen. maybe Mark needs to ban under 8's or people with PMT.

I'm going running in Stockholm to explore the city - arrive Tues pm and leave Thurs so at least 3 runs to get in. If anyone would like to join me let me know - nothing hard. Looks a peach of a city to run in. Beers afterwards absolutely! I would suggest you check out the Stockholm marathon site and follow some of its route. Some of it goes through a park from what I recall and runs around the harbour. Avoid the big bridge though it is bloody steep. Be warned it can actually be pretty hot in the summer so check the forecast and if you enjoy it go back and do the actual marathon it is a great race to do.
BoyJones Posted 31 July 2016 Posted 31 July 2016 Been to Stockholm a few times and the only route we will be checking out is the route between the Irish pubs. Service etc can be a bit hit and miss compared to main land Europe, but if you are looking to chill then most worth a visit or three.
LCFC FOX Posted 31 July 2016 Posted 31 July 2016 Surely the best way would be to walk? As you get longer to see things instead of just running past it

Balj Posted 31 July 2016 Author Posted 31 July 2016 Anyway to go back go back to my original point - and thank you all for the euphemistic and real suggestions:). I'm staying south and the http://www.visitstockholm.com/en/See--do/Attractions/djurgarden/ looks great for a run and anything else running could be used euphemistically for! Part of the Stockholm Marathon routes (thanks Reynard). B
Leah_tv Posted 1 August 2016 Posted 1 August 2016 Hello, my name is Leah and I am a producer on the Community Shield preview show. I am looking for some Leicester fans to interview tomorrow in Sweden at the Friends Stadium. I was wondering if anyone was arriving before Wednesday and would be available to come to the stadium to be interviewed. Cheers

As someone who lived there for a bit, I suggest get up really early and go around Gamla Stan (the old town) in the morning before the narrow streets get packed with people. It's cobbled so a bit tricky, but no cars and lots to see – and you can run around the King's Castle!

So, it was a fairly unique request on here to ask about going running in Sweden. So the joke was, perhaps when you said "running" you meant something else. I never said what, it leaves it purposely vague for people to fill in the blanks with what they want. Admittedly it's not a great joke and I'm not going to be performing at the fringe next year. But there you go. Hope you have a good run. You mean like cottaging.

Just to say what a wonderful City - I ran 10k every day and it was a joy. Djugarden and the Riddarfjarden Loop were just fantastic. If you get a chance to visit do. Can't wait to go back!
