Went on a thesaurus for 5 mins to try and choose my feelings after tonight.

As a young lad I remember big signings never cost more than 2, 3 million. I remember watching Iain Hume on his debut from Tranmere, less than a million, 750k? Can't really remember  exact price but I see vividly his little stocky frame coming on 2nd half and him changing the game. I remember the excitement of signing Eadie and watching him on his debut 3.5 million V forest or derby?? I remember thinking "he's quick as they said on teletext"  and being  taken back with a player of his quality donning the blue shirt..

I remember Lakzo Zolt on  his debut V Coventry where, still to this day, I have never seen a better debut performance. I confidently proclaimed that he would be the new Ronaldo, other football club fans laughed at me (as I live out of the area) and quite rightly so!

I remember King's debut thinking "he's definitely something special"

I remember so badly wanting Akinbyi to succeed, always thinking this was going to be the game he explodes, and so he did.... out of his shirt.

Watched the game tonight with a Carlisle and Newcastle fan. The Carlisle fan asked if "Harry Panayiotou"  was any good - I said "yeah he was was of our brightest talents a few seasons a go " just as Mussa scored his second V Barcelona. Panayiotou had scored against Penrith on trial for them a few days a go apparently...

I'm struggling to sum up my feeling right now, but I've basically just been given a new £16m striker that has tore Barca a new one, seen a Polish wonder kid sign and so unexpectedly play on the same day and look right at home. It's just indescribable, I never want to lose that magic of the past but I need to look to the future too. Anyone else understand how I feel?

I remember standing behind the goal at Tranmere in the first leg of the play off's and saying to my Dad that I think Gavin Ward has just played the best 90 minutes I think I will ever see.

Safe to say that us being crowned premier league champions has not even come close to sinking in yet.

Can't put into words how special this time is for our club but I'll admit (a bit like when Del Boy finally won his millions on only fools and horses yet still somehow missed the thrill of the chase) that I'll 100% be loving if we become a consistent top 6 team with European adventures, but at the same will continue to miss them massive games we had at Filbert Street and big away days just to try and sneak into a play off spot.

Haha, reminds me of the wonder of Davie Gibson's arrival for £25,000 from Hibernian.  And Musa's performance yesterday reminded me of watching Gibbo's genius for the first time. Not their style - Gibbo was a pass-master craftsman and Musa's like the footballing equivalent of one of the RAF's predatory Tornado's.

He's not the only hope for the future either, I've never been more excited about our club, not even in the 60s.

So many people seem to be making such an effort to make us special and, on reflection, that's why I'm so disappointed in Mahrez. Right now he seems like an element that's pulling the other way and spoiling what should be such a super mood.

Whatever he does I shall look to the future entirely convinced we can keep shining our gleaming light whatever.

We might have lost the game but some of our football against Barcelona was a treat to see - and that with a modified team that's still embryonic. Ridiculously happy days!

At 3-0 reality started to sink in, at 3-2 i thought we'd get to the last 4 of the Champions League.

Either way i'm prepared that last season may never be matched, I may not see anything like it again, but i'm really excited about now and where we're headed. There are no words, this thread title is perfect.

And this. Leicester player scores 50 yard solo run wonder goal vs Barcelona is something from my dreams... and maybe my FIFA career.

It was some goal and hopefully the whingers in the transfer threads bemoaning Musa's "performances" will be quiet for at least 2 weeks now.

Good topic....

At this stage last year, just after the amazing escape, I was looking forward to maybe a mid table finish, we'd added a player only Inler was a known player to me, expected great things from him, semi successful manager had gone, best player (Cambiasso) had gone, I was hopeful of getting roundabout mid table, just looking forward to another season in the Premier, hoping above all that we don't add to our relegation stats......And then look what happened :scarf:

Now I look at the picture today, and see that we've lost possibly our best player, we still have the same manager (who, as some of you may know, has just won the Premier League) and the players we've added look really exciting compared to last seasons additions, why shouldn't this season be as great as last season, we've got experience of being Top Dogs, the best "band of Brothers" squad that you'll ever come across (incidentally, Kante never really seemed to want to take part in the "brotherly" aspect, so perhaps it was always in his plan to perform a "shop window" season). Gray first half Shinji, Musa later looked amazing in Barcelona, some great defending scattered amongst the poor defending), seem top recall this time last year we were all howling for a new Right Back, but nasty man Simpson had a great season. and he's still here if we don't get another.

I'm actually looking forward to a mush better season in August 2016, than I could possibly have hoped for in August 2015 :)
