fuchsntf Posted 11 August 2016 Posted 11 August 2016 Black pepper on steaks, Beef, lamb, pork, fish.Though a steak done with fruit can take white. white pepper powder on Baked beans, mashed potatoes.Mushy peas. I cook and flavour with both.Depends also on quality and if powder or corn. Also use mixed pepper corns, there are other peppers besides black or white. Like mustards the avg English, dont concern themselves with the varieties, or types, of same. A good pepper can make a dish, and take it away from being bland. Lets be honest..no fast nd hard rules, depends on preferences of taste, and even the stubborn and bombastic, should be prepared to experiment.
