Lineker's Left Foot Posted 25 September 2005 Posted 25 September 2005 On his first real home game how did Hume do? Is he our saviour? I presume that the fact that he was substituted and he heard he kept straying offside therefore meant that he didn't look too good???
We need another Taggart Posted 25 September 2005 Posted 25 September 2005 i work at a sports stats company and i got a call from our guy at the leicester game and asked him how hume did, and he said "it wasnt his sort of game" not sure what to make of that.
rossporterlc Posted 25 September 2005 Posted 25 September 2005 a bit quiet, hard worker and up for it though

I'd agree with that. Too much hoofing and a little bit too physical for such a small guy.
Jimmy Posted 25 September 2005 Posted 25 September 2005 being down to 10 men for so long dint help provide him with the service provided
cisono Posted 25 September 2005 Posted 25 September 2005 i work at a sports stats company and i got a call from our guy at the leicester game and asked him how hume did, and he said "it wasnt his sort of game" not sure what to make of that. I misread the title of this thread as "Who was Hume?" a bit quiet, hard worker and up for it though He certainly did work hard and put effort into his game. I'd agree with that. Too much hoofing and a little bit too physical for such a small guy. I also felt that it just a tough job for him in such a physical game... it seemed nearly impossible for such a small guy to get past two/three or even four defenders who were much taller and much heavier than him and often "walled him in"...
The People's Hero Posted 25 September 2005 Posted 25 September 2005 Obviously not up to it, then. Hume out!!!
AyewJoking Posted 25 September 2005 Posted 25 September 2005 Well, he still looks lively but give him another couple of months at City and he'll fit right in. I'm worried people are saying the game was too physical for him. How many games are you going to get at this level that arent physical?
foxy_gal Posted 25 September 2005 Posted 25 September 2005 He's a fast little runner but looked like his height made him miss the ball a few times, lets see how he goes am sure he will get better <_<
rossporterlc Posted 25 September 2005 Posted 25 September 2005 He's a fast little runner but looked like his height made him miss the ball a few times, lets see how he goes am sure he will get better <_< said he was 5ft9 on radio, i'm sure he is 5ft7, please tell me he is, i didn't think i was as small as him
Libertine Posted 25 September 2005 Posted 25 September 2005 said he was 5ft9 on radio, i'm sure he is 5ft7, please tell me he is, i didn't think i was as small as him He is 5' 7" mate, don't worry.
Scow Posted 25 September 2005 Posted 25 September 2005 He does have a great leap on him though. I thought he did well in pacthes. Looked quick, lively and confident on the ball. Would be interesting to see him paired up with Hammond upfront.
rossporterlc Posted 25 September 2005 Posted 25 September 2005 He is 5' 7" mate, don't worry. yay thanks for that info, cheered me up, though finding out dec is 5ft9 pissed me right off
Honest-to-goodness LCFC fan Posted 25 September 2005 Posted 25 September 2005 I disagree with most of the opinions here about Hume. He certainly wasn't head and shoulders above everyone else, but then the whole team were generally off-key. I think his class showed through though and he made one or two brilliant passes.
Ric Flair Posted 26 September 2005 Posted 26 September 2005 I thought he looked dangerous and although he didn't have any clear cut chances a few of his through balls were superb. That ball around the back of the defence for de Vries to latch on to was amazing and the fact it was that donkey on the end of it and not Hume or Hammond frustrated me so much. I think he's an excellent player, probably gonna be wasted at Leicester.
bluefox Posted 26 September 2005 Posted 26 September 2005 HUme and Kisnorbo were are best players against QPR IMO
Ric Flair Posted 26 September 2005 Posted 26 September 2005 HUme and Kisnorbo were are best players against QPR IMO Really? I thought Kisnorbo was shocking.

Rarely in the line up and then when he does, it's in front of a bunch of underachievers with MdV in front of him.
Cobbo Posted 26 September 2005 Posted 26 September 2005 Really? I thought Kisnorbo was shocking. Ditto. Seems to offer us nowt, total garbage so far.

I doubt he's regretting the move, he'll be on atleast twice as much money as he was on and he knows that he's our best striker so he's in a position where if he plays to his potential the fans will love him because there's no other bugger worth loving. He seems to so keen to get involved, he'll score tomorrow night.
Louise Posted 26 September 2005 Posted 26 September 2005 Ditto. Seems to offer us nowt, total garbage so far. Agreed. He was rubbish. Keep him as a squad player, no more. I'll be very annoyed if he starts against Brighton.

I'll reserve judgement until I finally see him play tomorrow night, but I'm not expecting much.
Ricey Posted 26 September 2005 Posted 26 September 2005 I agredd with the guy on the phone-in who when talking about Kisnorbos funny run said "...if he was a horse I'd have him shot". I bit harsh but I see his point.
