You definately have a point there with polls. I think people think because joey plays midfield, its his position "tag", and maybury`s tage is RB, that he couldnt possibly play midfield, let alone ahead of joey.

Who scored more goals (not including pens, out field goals) per ratio, of games for city?, and bear in mind maybury plays in a less attacking role.

From where i sit, joey gets far more negative comments about his passing and ball control ability. I`d rather have maybury on the ball in ANY position than joey. I get worried when joey has the ball.

There is a reason why Maybury is a full back and Gudjonsson is a midfielder. Maybury may well have the ability to play in the centre, however, Gudjonsson has been our best and most consistent player this season so I find your poll and suggestion laughable.

If you have actually watched our games this season, you'll see that Maybury's distribution has generally been on the poor side - a key attribute needed for a midfielder. Gudjonsson has taken steps to improve from last season and has shown all the qualities that were expected of him when we first purchased him. The ability to win the ball, cover ground and use the ball effectively.

Well you must`ve never seen maybury play. As a defender, he will no doubt have better defensive abilities.

Against wingers perhaps, not forwarding breaking midfielders.

So by your argument, you need be a captain to play that defensive midfield role? You can be a leader without the captains armband. Joey may not be the typical loud mouthed leader, bus his performances and attitude lead by example.

Why mention this when we're talking about defensive midfielders? Goals are not a requirement when playing this position.
