Swansea was dominant too - should have been more

We have played well at times this season.

Unfortunately there is no consistency to it like there was last year.

Here's some perspective...

We haven't put in a good 90min performance since early February in the 3-1 against Man City.

I mean...that's ridiculous - Swansea at home last year? Everton?

Both dead rubber matches with nothing to play for the opposition, so it doesn't really count.

Here's the stats from the Palace game.

So that leaves us with 3-0 over Burnley. Ok, I admit I was wrong. We have played entertaining, progressive, 90 minute football since Man City away.

Once.

To Burnley lol

Some seem to be living on last season's glory and are playing in an entitled way may be CR needs to do a bit of this

Nail and Head spring to mind!

Top post DavieG......lots of factors playing a part but to me the manager needs to get a grip of them. His tinkering to me has not helped as we have no pattern of play which concerns me most but above all else the biggest concern for me yesterday was desire and will to win.

We all know what the baggies were going to do and they did it against us last season and were even more effective yesterday.

Last season is over and I will live on it forever but cannot help feeling that we have missed a real opportunity to move the club forward a level or two - CR may need to earn his corn and shake it up including in January but I am not so positive about his recruitment to date as Musa and Slimani for their cost do not look like upgrades on Albrighton and Ulloa......

we desperately need to improve quickly to stop the season going south, once the champions league is over we will have not much to cheer about. it is looking less and less likely that we will finish in the top six let alone the top four and will only have an f.a. cup run to look forward too.although we all know Claudio will most likely field a weakened team in the f.a cup. a top ten finish is becoming more and more realistic as long as we get back the form and fitness of last season.

There's panic currently as teams below have picked up points in last couple of days whilst we've temporarily sunk a bit.

I'd worry if we fail to win a few more games before the new year.

We've had 4.5 good halves this season.... Palace, Burnley, Swansea (first half) and Spurs.

Southampton deserved to beat us at home earlier in the season and only by luck that Austin's half volley hit the post.

It's performances that are more concerning than results.

Go and support Man utd if you want to use stats to back up your argument that's all their fans ever do - based on your argument we were battered at man city then. We had about 30% possesion and 10 shots in the whole goal
