BigWesMorgan Posted 7 November 2016 Posted 7 November 2016 I know you guys love melting down and all... But we're 3 points off 8th...3....Tres..Trois...Drei So let's have a bit of perspective
EnglishOxide Posted 7 November 2016 Posted 7 November 2016 Here's some perspective... We haven't put in a good 90min performance since early February in the 3-1 against Man City.
john ridley Posted 7 November 2016 Posted 7 November 2016 Or put it another way ,2pts off the bottom 3 , people need to get real ,this is going to be a scrap make no mistake.
davieG Posted 7 November 2016 Posted 7 November 2016 This a crucial time of the season where a win puts you in the top half and a defeat sends you skirting with relegation as in yesterday a win would have had us 9th. After this next series of games if you end up stuck down below it becomes so much hard to get yourselves up into the top half.

lgfualol Posted 7 November 2016 Posted 7 November 2016 Based on yesterday, I'm not sure where our next 3 points is coming from. Hopefully at Watford, but just don't know which Leicester is going to turn up.

Didn't think it was possible to have a meltdown inside a post trying to mellow all the meltdowns but hey congrats
Guest Col city fan Posted 7 November 2016 Posted 7 November 2016 I can't stand threads like this.. What they are really saying is 'chill out, all is ok' or 'we'll be fine' etc. To post such stuff is to belie the fact that we have been pretty much pants for weeks really. In terms of HOW we are playing. The first half yesterday showed zero shots for us, at home, against a bang average side. That in itself should be cause for discussion. Let me reiterate..at home, in front of a full house, against West Brom...no shots in 45 mins. If that isn't worrying, what is?

st albans fox Posted 7 November 2016 Posted 7 November 2016 Go back two seasons we were good against yanited, poor at palace and then Jekyll and Hyde home to Burnley we we couldn't buy a win for months after that.
sylofox Posted 7 November 2016 Posted 7 November 2016 Some of this is not over reaction. Yes I get that this was going to de harder as everyone wants a bit of us. We know teams have sussed us out. But no excuse for wayward passing a lack of trying compared to last season. Then we have the slight issue of not being able to defend. No we are not to slow but again sloppy passing and about as organised as a piss up in a brewery. They even trot out some shite about a rule change. Really so the rule change sends our defence to sleep for corners. This all feels like six months after you married the woman of your dreams you find out she's been cheating for the last three months. We don't look a team at times and forget Kante we don't look anything like last season. None of the players seem to be doing or as switched on as last season.

All is O.K We'll be fine Even for the most optimistic happy clappers amongst us it's tough watching at the moment. But until Mendy is back and we strengthen the midfield (hopefully) in January, I'm not sure what we can do apart from ride it out at the moment. I just hope the Don sorts them all out quickly, and I for one trust that he will.
davieG Posted 7 November 2016 Posted 7 November 2016 Some seem to be living on last season's glory and are playing in an entitled way may be CR needs to do a bit of this

We are so predictable and uninventive, and so inconsistent, those who are concerned, are justified. Do I think it's time to panic, no, but something is clearly not working this season, and what looks like lack of ideas and motivation is concerning. Performances like yesterday breeds negativity, and sadly we have had to many performances like yesterday already this season. Cant put my finger on what's wrong, it's not just missing kante, it might be the players winning the league, getting massive pay rising, and all of a sudden thinking they are better than they actually are. Lets not forget these players were cast off's, or unknowns before last season, and won the league on the back of 100% effort every game, and massive togetherness, im not seeing either at present. Again more negatives about at present, than positive's, and that's not over expectations, I thought lower mid table this season, but on the whole, we have been shit this season, barring Europe against average teams.

It's not just the results, if we played great this season in the league and had the same results, I'd be happy, as the performance would be there, and give hope that the results will come, but at times we look like we don't have a clue, and I feel at present, I haven't seen any signs of things changing.

What is it with this theory that we aren't playing well because other teams know how we play now and make it more difficult? I'm pretty sure everyone knew last season too, they don't prepare to play us for a whole year! They have a week in the lead up to the game to prepare for the game against us. It wasn't exactly a secret to how we played last season. Also other teams know how arsenal play every week, Barcelona, Liverpool etc. Why can't they be stopped ? Other teams know how they play ?

So you genuinely believe teams are not approaching playing us as Champions any differently than before, really? Madness. All of your examples above have been stopped this season, Barca lost at home to a team much worse that West Brom, do some research. Also, each one of your examples have been at or around the top of the game for a ****ing long time, they have bigger squads, more top level experience and that counts for a lot. But **** reason, let's verbally shit down the lads throats the minute we find things hard. Bedwetters
themightyfin Posted 7 November 2016 Posted 7 November 2016 I find it weird how after the Spurs game last week the same posters here who are now saying we are shit were saying we were back to our best. How fickle "FANS" can be in just one short week. Simply amazing but nothing more than I have come to expect. whatever happened to supporting your team through thick and thin the good AND the bad? Keep the faith? JOKE

First half of last season our philosophy was to attack from the start, play expansive, fast, progressive and stylish football. Second half of the season our philosophy changed to keeping clean sheets and grinding out 1-0 wins. It was awful football but bearable because it got us over the line. This season our philosophy isn't clear. We have forgotten how to attack and are playing worse football than a Pulis team. Seriously, since beating Man City our only 2 entertaining performances have been 4-0 over Swansea and 3-0 over Brugge, and look how shit they are. Only other time was 20mins against Barca in a friendly where our balls tingled for 20mins. We need to start playing positive football again. We DO have the players to go for the throat early like we used to. We still have pace and skill so let's make use of it. I know it's easy to blame the players but I do still see effort. This means that its Ranieri who needs to adjust his selection, formation and philosophy.
