I'd say if it's true it's more down to realising that Zieler is shite more than worrying Kasper is leaving

Yeh cos I'm sure Hart would love to come here as back up to Kasper

Whilst I appreciate we haven't ever played it around at the back last two seasons, when did you ever see kasper playing comfortably with his back four before that. If you want someone to distribute quickly then I suspect he is the best in the PL but Liverpool don't strike me as wanting that as their basis.

Fair point, but I'd argue if his passing over 60+ yards in an instant is good, so his short range passing should be too. Not his fault the 2 cb's in front of him couldn't pass water.

It's having the confidence to play it short in tight situations and take it back and redistribute short. I haven't ever seen this side of his game and it's precisely what klopp wants in his keeper. If they want him then I think it's a big risk for them. Mignolet makes enough mistakes playing it around and suspect kasper won't be that different.

Perhaps jurgen thinks he can coach it into him. If so, they would have a hell of a keeper. we don't need to sell. We shouldnt

Hart for Kasper?

I actually wonder if Kasper could be player-manager because he's one of very few players who seems to have maintained his standards since our downturn and remained every bit as passionate about winning as he was in our title year.

Get his vastly experienced dad to help on  the recruitment side and a couple of genuinely top class, highly innovative coaches, and we might have another big chapter to write.

I really couldn't imagine Kasper going soft on anyone. Training would be demanding, attitudes focused and achievement the only outcome that mattered.

Given his connection to Manchester United I'd also imagine we'd play with some style.

I'm not sure if he'd need his coaching badge as a registered player, so long as he gave a commitment to that end if necessary.

It's just an idea. There may be reasons against. Just none that strike me as over-riding given the shortage of half decent managerial alternatives right now, should Ranieri continue to preside over a faltering team playing woeful football.
