davieG Posted 17 December 2016 Posted 17 December 2016 Obviously just gossip but who knows what's for real England’s number one Joe Hart has emerged as a surprise target for champions Leicester City, who fear their current goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel will be lured away from the club. According to an exclusive in the Sun on Sunday, Leicester bosses have discreetly made their interest in Hart known behind the scenes. Hart, who is currently on loan at Torino for the season, will leave the Etihad Stadium permanently next summer with West Ham also interested and Spurs said to have an eye on him. And The Sun reports that there are several huge fans of the 29-year-old on the staff at Leicester. Even more interesting is the information that City are admirers of 30-year-old Kasper Schmeichel, the man Hart could replace in this scenario, raising the prospect of an incredible swap deal next summer. Schmeichel was trained at City’s academy and like Hart, is classified as home-grown, but unlike Joe, would also count as club-trained in the Champions League squad were he ever to return to the club he left in 2009. With Willy Caballero’s contract up next summer, City are likely to bring in a new shot-stopper, and while Schmeichel is now linked, it is Benfica’s Ederson Moraes who is being most regularly linked with a move to Pep Guardiola’s side. http://www.mcfcwatch.com/2016/12/17/leicester-keen-on-joe-hart-with-extraordinary-swap-for-kasper-schmeichel-possible-reports/
steveherbe Posted 17 December 2016 Posted 17 December 2016 Its a yes from me, no fancy graphics required. Quality keeper, just needs the right club - and thats us
Tuna Posted 17 December 2016 Posted 17 December 2016 If Kasper goes can't think of a better replacement who would be available.
cityfanlee23 Posted 17 December 2016 Posted 17 December 2016 Top quality goalkeeper, dare I say it he's better than Kasper IMO.
Guest CityFan 06 Posted 17 December 2016 Posted 17 December 2016 If Kasper were to move, yes I suppose Hart would be a top replacement. But I really hope we can keep him. Same with Drinkwater. Those two are integral to the team.
Jon the Hat Posted 17 December 2016 Posted 17 December 2016 If Kasper was to go the. Yes, not sure I would spend to bring him in if Kasper stays.
Leicester_Numan Posted 17 December 2016 Posted 17 December 2016 I'd say if it's true it's more down to realising that Zieler is shite more than worrying Kasper is leaving
Stadt Posted 17 December 2016 Posted 17 December 2016 Kasper's injuries this season would surely put off any interested sides, off the top of my head there aren't any top teams needing a keeper either. He's not good enough with his feet for Pep so it seems the only tenuous link to this is the fact he's club grown.
m4DD0gg Posted 17 December 2016 Posted 17 December 2016 Would rather have Kasper instead of some prat who isnt that good.
Mike Oxlong Posted 17 December 2016 Posted 17 December 2016 Both Hart and Kasper are top keepers but Kasper is a leader of men. So Kasper every time.

AmarteyAndChill Posted 17 December 2016 Posted 17 December 2016 Amartey said Kasper got into them at half time. That is irreplaceable no matter how good he is.

Guest Posted 17 December 2016 Posted 17 December 2016 Probably nonsense paper talk but I would go for this. Hart better than Kasper for me.
simFox Posted 17 December 2016 Posted 17 December 2016 Id like to see Kasper stay, but if he leaves, Hart will be a good replacement. But if Hart was to start whooping and jeering in the tunnel just before a match, I'd have to say, "No, Hart", " you might be number 1 keeper for England, but keep your bloody gob shut"
AyewJoking Posted 17 December 2016 Posted 17 December 2016 like others have touched on kasper brings real leadership qualities so i wouldnt necessarily want to swap but if we were to lose kasper then hart would be a top notch replacement.

urban.spaceman Posted 17 December 2016 Posted 17 December 2016 If Kasper is desperate to leave then Hart as a cheap replacement isn't too bad - we could do much much worse. But I don't think Kasper wants to leave. He seems pretty happy here and has a great relationship with the squad.

Walkerfox Posted 17 December 2016 Posted 17 December 2016 I love Joe Hart!!!!!! I like to call him "safe hands Harty" Wouldn't want Kasper to leave but if he did Joe Hart would be perfect.
GingerrrFox Posted 18 December 2016 Posted 18 December 2016 Would rather keep Kasper but if he leaves to go to bigger things then I would definitely take Joe Hart to fill the void.
Jaspa Posted 18 December 2016 Posted 18 December 2016 Hart is overrated, I'd honestly prefer Pickford for now and future. Kasper over both though, it aint broke with him but you wouldnt stop him if he wanted to go. Only signed a new contract recently too, hopefully hes a part of our team for a long time to come
bigDfox33 Posted 18 December 2016 Posted 18 December 2016 Kasper is better than Hart for me. But no doubt Hart is a quality keeper. I think its more to do with replacing Zeiler as he is wank!
Red Squirrel Posted 18 December 2016 Posted 18 December 2016 We have all seen Kasper mature into one of the best keepers in the world over the last 2 years. He brings more to the team with his commitment and maturity ( I also think his distribution is generally excellent - you've just had a chance to see Ron Robert !! He appreciates the fans and is a great ambassador for the club This is the type of player we need to hold onto to, build on last year and develop into a club who can regularly compete in the higher reaches of the league and for Cups and to play in Europe again If he were ever to be attracted elsewhere there would have to be a lot of wonga coming in this direction with Joe Hart if that were to happen He is in the form of his life, he's irreplaceable and he's at our club !!!!!!
