Realist Guy In The Room Posted 24 December 2016 Posted 24 December 2016 Cannot believe it. Quo are one of my favourite bands.
Izzy Posted 24 December 2016 Posted 24 December 2016 Gutted. Yet another music legend taken from us this year. 2016 can just fvck right off.

steveherbe Posted 24 December 2016 Posted 24 December 2016 Seen 'em about 50 times, abiding memory of Rick, december 2014 at Bournemouth playing the intro of Caroline backlit behind a curtain so just a shadow - then the curtain drops and off they go. Best live band ever, a sad loss
Parafox Posted 21 January 2017 Posted 21 January 2017 Watching the BBC4 show of Quo stripped back and acoustic, what a revelation. I've kinda been a closet Quo fan but hearing the orchestrated versions of their songs I realise that they are so much more than a 3 chord repeat outfit

Quo is meant to be played fast and loud, doing it slower and on acoustic ruins it for me. This is the Quo stuff I loved, the mid 70s stuff, after the Pictures of Matchstick Men psychedelic rubbish and before they became more poppy with the Rocking all over the World era. Gutted I won't get to see them again!
