sylofox Posted 5 January 2017 Posted 5 January 2017 Some we should sing some just funny please add. Mine. Those were the days my friend we thought they'd never end. We sang and danced for ever and a day. We'd live the life we chose. We'd fight and never loose. For we were young and sure to have our way. lalalala la la la la la lala repeat. WYS Always. But the classic one off for me as a one off. Who Let The Dogs Out. for Newcastle. please add.
Voll Blau Posted 5 January 2017 Posted 5 January 2017 One that a couple of guys involved with UFS have been trying to get going a little bit in recent weeks is the Mr Sheen advert theme, apparently sung on the Kop in the 70s. Would be decent if everyone bounced to it when we score!

Freesolo Posted 5 January 2017 Posted 5 January 2017 Singing the Blues when Leicester win and Forest lose!
sylofox Posted 5 January 2017 Author Posted 5 January 2017 UFS great job and i did a few of the first games. But for us old boys include some old songs. I am sure in the Kop and around the ground people will join in the old stuff. Some of us old twats do live in the past. But take on some old stuff they may join in.

I think you would be pleasantly surprised by how many older chants/songs are sung.

Sol thewall Bamba Posted 5 January 2017 Posted 5 January 2017 Actually thinking about it I reckon Singing the Blues is one of my favourite songs we have. Can't remember when it was but one game in the last 6 months or so it caught on massively and sounded absolutely fantastic. 2 minutes ago, sylofox said: I don't doubt you but all you here is new songs. Me more than anyone loves our old songbook and will always try and get those older classics going.

I know what you mean but do a lot of UFS know the old songs. No point trying to start them if people don't have a clue. No disrespect. Perhaps this topic could be used to help.

The only ones not known are ones which haven't been actually sung in 20 or 30 years.

I have upmost respect for UFS they have helped so much. But every song we do is rushed. We can't even do WYS now. Our song sung bad.

Soup Posted 5 January 2017 Posted 5 January 2017 Absolutely adore 'Those were the days' I'd love to get that one going more than any other song. Not chanted though, it needs to be sang with melody.

I agree: one of my favs is once upon a time - don't think I've heard any other fans sing it for years? Would be great if we could get it going
