How can we make more Noise inside the Stadium?

I'm not fully convinced by our atmosphere but one thing I would say is, generally our pre match build up is brilliant. The montages and Birch rallying the crowd, works really well and shouldn't be stopped. There are aspects of the build up which I'm not keen on, but then again I suppose the club are trying to please everyone.

Disagree. The montages are ok, but the modern fashion of playing music drowns out any attempt by fans to get anything going before the game kicks off. As for Birch, I can barely understand a word he says - be better of leaving it to the other matchday announcer and leave Birch to entertain VIP's in the bar.

That they improve the atmosphere

How is that a myth?

They clearly improve the atmosphere.

Have you not been down the ground this season?

Hit and miss but it's been a better atmosphere than most (if not all) away grounds I've been to this season.

Last season we produced probably the best atmosphere of any side in England consistently.

£2 a pint in the concourse from 1:30 to 2:30 and turn Sk1 into unreserved seating. Also need to make sure everyone who has a season ticket in that area or buys a match ticket is aware that persistent standing is expected (obviously worded better so the club wouldn't get in trouble)

£2 a pint, why?

You don't need to be spannered to sing and get an atmosphere going and the stuff they sell at the ground is crap anyway.

Unreserved seating in a block is a very good idea and surely would draw more to it, back in the championship years we often had it at away games, however the powers that be might not like the idea as CCTV couldn't identify fans by their st or match day ticket as they'd be no reference.

Currently they can tell who sits where or who owns the ST for a seat so any trouble, that would be the first address they'd knock on in the coming days.

As someone else has said, bin the pre match music, I'd also bin the goal music.

Leave Birch to the half time stuff with relays, presentations and let the fans sing pre match instead.

Can't deny it helps!

Yeah understand all your reasons for the club to not want unreserved seating but the risk of any trouble, especially at that end of the ground is pretty slim.

Added to it, unreserved seating would help us older ones to reminisce of old days on a terrace standing where you want. lol

I'd be up for that idea although some would still argue about where they sit, stand

Cant be bothered to read the thread as itll be unbelieveably tedious.

"How can we make more noise inside the stadium"?

Just sing and shout more.

The end.

Can wheels be put in motion with these ideas and discuss it with the club? The unreserved seating/cheaper booze early on...

Failing that just creating room to grow the vocal area at the back

Can always tell if the atmosphere is going to be a good 'un by the reaction of 'C' Block to the last warm up routine. As last season wore on before each match it became almost hysterical which couldn't have failed to motivate the players as they sprinted back down the tunnel to prepare. The closest we've come this season was before the West Ham match as it felt like the pressure was back on for the first time this season making it a bit edgy, almost angry. Seems to set the tone.
