Now Ranieri gone like he says the dream is over, so come summer we need a major clear out, if the stories are true that the players wanted Ranieri out, they have shoot themselves in foot and honest truth most just ain't good enough. In a way the end of season can't come quick enough I would stick with Shakespeare till end of season and appoint new manager in the summer I think we have to take the fall out from this and let the dust settle, last season has effected the club in a way we didn't expect, but can still build a great future, we need to get our scouting program back to how it use to be and get out find the hidden talent, we need to raise up and be great again. Keep the faith forever fearless.

Not for you to decide.

If they don't get the next appointment right and if we don't turn things around this season then those of us who didn't want him gone have every right to be aggrieved about this.

Exactly the same way people were entitled to discuss whether he should have been sacked or who could come in before he had gone.

Do we need 10 threads all about the same point. It's getting boring already!

Everyone is quite capable of deciding how to react to this sacking. If you want to express your disappointment at the players and even the owners that's your right. If you're happy that we've sacked him and are looking forward to a new manager coming that's fine too.

I'm not sure why people are so desperate for strangers to agree with them

If Shakespeare can turn it around I think he possibly deserves a chance, be nice for him to get the opportunity unless a big name manager comes in over the next few days, obviously you can see the job Wagner is doing for example, but we know shakey has been in the champ and knows how to get out of it.

Like to see him get a shot.

Agree about the clearout, this is the 2nd time our players are rumoured to have forced the owners hand into a change if it's to be believed the rumours about players wanting pearson to change tactics etc.

I think we need a huge clearout in summer regardless of position.

Agree, it's hard work to read all these posts that could be in 1 thread, geezzz we must have started 100 new threads in the last couple of days

I'm just expressing an opinion I didn't want him out I'm still in shock but is nothing I can do to change that, but I'm worried that we going to rush in and make wrong choice.

A once in fifty years event is how last season was described in the FT today. We simply haven't been able to deal with the shock waves it caused. Mistakes have been made which are easier to call with hindsight. The BMWs. The massive contracts. The imbalanced recruitment.

We now simply dont know what our level is. Over the last three seasons we've pretty much been bottom or top, whereas logically I suspect we should be somewhere between 8th and 15th in the Prem.

I'm fearful that nothing can now stop the tsunami of negative momentum surrounding our club, just like it's postive version carried us through last year.

This might take a few years to settle. Massive decisions ahead for the owners. I wish them luck

I dont believe that the momentum will last. Understandable why people are upset with such a sad way for it to unfold but a few journailsts now have at least written about the dismal league form so some will understand the decision, others wont. It will pass.

As the title says 'time to move on.

You do know that claudio will be the new pearson, certain people will be pining after him for years to come.

This will be Pearson to the power of infinity - it may even push him into obscurity
