Lester LXXIV Posted 13 October 2005 Posted 13 October 2005 Do we have to let this guy post on here, can't we ban him? He is not a fan of Leicester City Football Club but a mindless numbskull with a very concerning fetish for bum chins!! All he does is get peoples backs up! He is the in disguise!!
Frenzied Posted 13 October 2005 Posted 13 October 2005 I don't know what parallel universe you lot are stuck in but in this one LCFC are 19th in the championship and, if current form is maintained, heading for the First Division (which would be another unwelcome first in our history - a point which seems to be lost on you ignorant Pollards). Interesting to note that even our normally supine local rag yesterday devoted three whole pages to the clubs current predicament. Only the most imperceptive (the majority of posters on this board) could fail to see that it was the longest written warning in history. Hopefully a FINAL written warning to you-know-who. Apparently the 'dour one' has been warning the faithful that LCFC is not the force it once was. Well, we hardly needed him to remind us of that. I must hand it to Mr Charisma though, there are few people in the game who can make such negative statements about his team AS IF THEY WERE NOTHING TO DO WITH HIM. A final tip for that pseudo intellectual poseur Thracian: less florrid prose, fewer vacuous opinions. Follow my example and let statistics, facts and precedent do your talking for you. PS Lisa keep out of the executive offices at The Walkers - it's affecting your judgement. I'm getting bored already. Someone needs to tell the quacks at Broadmoor that they made a mistake in letting the Adams stalker out.
Chimp Posted 13 October 2005 Posted 13 October 2005 My apologies for being less than clear. I would certainly dispute your central thesis. Hence the comment that I could script as many positives about Levein's contribution so far as you have voiced negatives... [snip] If your calling the fans who took a dislike to Adams methods 'boneheads' then what would you call yourself and others who dismiss what Craig is trying to do here... [snip] Seriously guys, there's no point trying to offer any kind of reasoned debate. Thracian, I can understand you getting drawn into this as you've never encountered Chandler before, but Ric? You should know better. Chandler is a troll. Nothing more, nothing less. He posts on this forum, not to enter into any kind of discussion, but to cause disruption and to seek attention. That's his sole aim. You could present the most logical and reasoned argument to him and he'll just rebuff it with pseudo-intellectual prose, circular arguments, distraction techniques and, more often than not, personal insults. I've been around on the internet for a very long time, back to the days of BBS's, and I've come across people like Chandler many a time. He's a troll, a very accomplished one at that, but please, if you feed him (ie give him any attention) he'll just stick around longer and cause more disruption. I'm suprised that the moderators haven't recognised him for what he is and baned his IP. Remember... DON'T FEED TROLLS.

PS Lisa keep out of the executive offices at The Walkers - it's affecting your judgement. I think that says it all about you - you're full of statistics but you've got no soul. I let my eyes make my judgements and they've served me well enough so far in my sporting life. You and Mickey should make perfect soul-mates cos neither of you can see any further than Mr Magoo - you, presumably cos you've got your head buried in paper and Mickey cos his head was forever buried in that sand I mentioned. You wouldn't like to put your money where you're mouth is on the relegation issue would you? How about £100? And I'll back Levein keeping us up despite having to effect a complete rebuild. PS: As far as the Mercury is concerned I really don't give a damn what they've got to say and I have not read their latest diatribe. I have not been made aware that anyone among their football writing staff has had a genuinely successful sporting background and, if they have, even more appalling that so much of what is written is either trite or inaccurate in my experience. As I say, I make my own judgements in the main by attending first team, reserves and Academy matches, by watching training routines, by listening to the opinions of other posters on this forum and by asking questions. Statistics might, in the end, strengthen or weaken an argument but for the time being they are not, in my opinion, even particularly relevent. I have a wider vision than that though you, of course, will doubtless keep your dark glasses on. But don't forget to let me know about the bet. I may be any or all of the names you spit out of that Warfarin bucket you call a mouth but I will back my judgement with cash. How about you, wiseguy?.

Unfortunately Chandler doesn't understand the subjectivity of football and believes it is solely measured but stats alone. As a result, in his world, the fact that we've got an improving youth set-up, a squad with value, a first team playing much better football and has a growing potential to be one of the divisions best teams, is utterly lost on him. That said, the bloke is fit only for the looney bin, so it's understandable he comes out with such bizarre statements and in a way that denotes his blathering idiocy.

If anyone ever starts getting to you, especially on the Internet, you need to ask yourself 'why am I letting this get to me?'
The People's Hero Posted 13 October 2005 Posted 13 October 2005 Spot on. You sir, are talking a lot of sense tonight.
Chandler Posted 14 October 2005 Author Posted 14 October 2005 So you fancy a wager then Thracian? I normally don't like betting for unfavourable outcomes as far as LCFC is concerned (I don't hang with that Best dictum that one way you're happy the other way you're rich). But in your case though, I am willing to make an exception. There are one or two little proviso's however, that I am sure a fair minded person like yourself will find perfectly reasonable. Firstly, you are the bookie in this and you're only showing evens. I can get 9's at Jarvis and 10's at Bernstein's on City going through the trap door at the moment. If I put a ton down I'm going to want at least a monkey back so we'lll call it 5's OK? Secondly, you didn't say how we are going to organise this so let me make a once and for all suggestion. You don't know me from Adam and I don't know you from Eve so how's about meeting at a secure neutral venue outside Leicester? I do a martial arts class in Coventry a couple of evenings a week (Mondays and Thursdays) and afterwards go on to the Old Windmill on Spon End to rehydrate around 9.00ish. It's the perfect place to put one's money where one's mouth is so come on down! I'm afraid it will have to a brown envelope job. We'll hand them in to Lynne (the landlady) who will ensure everything's hunky dory and will count out the readies (remember it's a monkey from you) lodge 'em in the safe and hand us our receipts. If you're worried that there will be any Covscum there, don't worry it will just be me (tall, dark, fat & ugly) and any of my dojo demo'ees who happen to jolly along. Bring your mates too if you like. Let's say Thursday next...
Head Honcho Posted 14 October 2005 Posted 14 October 2005 It was all going so well until you started to quote the lighthouse family

MADLEVEIN Posted 14 October 2005 Posted 14 October 2005 a couple of things about chandlers offer dont seem to be that rosy! a safe neutral venue?? in coventry, are you serious ? a safe neutral place would surely be at the walkers surrounded by normal people instead of inter-bred freaks of nature. the other thing is he claims to be a martial arts expert then in his next breath says he is fat and ugly !! now im not being fattist, im a little rotund my-self, but id imagine martial arts exports to be quite slim and flexible and quick on thier feet.

A straight £100 wager cos it was you making all the running about City's likely fate under Levein not me. So if your words are worth the breath on which they're carried you'll back em up with the one-er and you can further supplement your potential earnings however you like at Bernsteins. Furthermore while I don't have the slightest apprehension about turning up alone at the venue in Coventry you suggest (I wondered if it was where my son had guested at a marshall arts club recently - cos they wanted to hear about the legend from Northants who had trained him) but it wasn't, cos that was on the A45. Anyway the point is that any meeting is wholly unnecessary. I am an old fashioned man of my word... and my words are written clearly enough here in front of God knows how many witnesses. You confirm the straight £100 bet and if City get relegated and all you do is E-Mail me and we'll agree how to exchange the money (through a local golf club professional would be my idea) I win and I'll trust you to do the same - then I shall use it to buy Christmas presents for the kids at the LRI. Here from you soon cos with that last promise you're in a no lose situation and it'll make up for you missing out on any odds.

Thats why you were always rattling on about being stripped to the waist and wrestling with men. Here I was thinking your rage issues were related to your own self loathing of your sexuality. 3. Are you some kind of Scooby Doo villain? And if I were a pesky kid and managed to unmask you would it be old man Tharacian behind the mask? You are pure comedy mate.
