I can't see Mahrez disagreeing with this either because in his head he will value himself that highly and is probably slightly insulted by Romas bids to get him on the cheap and not showing enough desire to meet his true valuation.

I think he has a good head on his shoulders but I do worry about the people he has around him and the advise they give him.

He didn't give in until now. The lad strikes me as very reasonable but I do fear Arsene Wenger coming the last day of the transfer window.

As if Arsenal will bid £50m! They'll come in with a £25m offer and Wenger will moan that there is no value in the market anymore. Why can't we take your best player? You only one the league 2 seasons ago, and were Champions League last season! He's to good for you, let him come play for us in the Europa League!

every player has their price, what the owners are actually saying our star players won't be sold on the cheap and the club will do everything in it's power to keep them but as everyone knows money talks! Barcelona didn't want to sell Naymar did they! but what happened!

You're right Barcelona didn't want to sell but had to because PSG met the buy out clause.

This type of talk is reassuirng but meaningless most of the time. I will be happily very surprised if none of our better players are sold by the end of the window.

It's simple economics.

If we get into Europe by keeping our best players then we earn more income than we could ever get by selling them.

Then the King Power brand is enhanced and so on

Your right, this talk is meaningless most of the time, but Neymar had a buy out clause that was activated. Our owners can take this stance, and stick to, it for any of our players that have no buy out clause in their contract. Obviously if a club came in with a ridiculous offer, or even met our valuation of a player, then the situation changes, but I can't see either of those scenarios happening.

If you sign a contract for three or four years then you should stick with it.  It's about time the so called smaller clubs put their foot down and said no to these so called big clubs.

Too much money in the game and too much power to the players.

I do wonder what Mahrez will do if Arsenal make a serious bid of say £35 million for him and we reject it. I think you might see some public spat. Roma I genuinely don't think he cared either way.

I'm not one for an argument but to be fair to Everton they have have worked hard on recruitment,

Koeman identified what he wanted and Walsh supplied the final pass, which he may have done for us, had he stayed   :frusty:

If they are successful I won't begrudge them any success they have ......... I will be a tad jealous though.

By the way, did you see Siggurdson's goal ....... Not a bad start   :worship:
