On performances so far this season he doesn't seem quite at it. More to prove, hopefully for him he gets the chance to against lower opposition otherwise we need Iborra and Silva in asap

As feared, he doesn't have the mobility or dominance to be good enough in that role.

 

He shys away from the ball too much, in contrast to DD who was always moving into space ready to receive it.

 

As part of a midfield three I think he could be excellent, but at this moment in time we need someone with a more energy and who is more creative.

Think we need a bit more patience with Matt. .... good squad player ... but coming off a long term injury

and been put in to a two man midfield against the like of Arsenal, United and Chelsea.

Thrown in the deep end or what.

However at best I still think he is really only a high end Championship/ lower end PL player ... like Chris Wood at Burnley.

From what i can read he only took a knock in the Chelsea game and should be fine.
