Looks even worse close up

Looks an ideal location for one of those "Winter Wonderlands" . I'm sure there's a song about it too, but my brain's too addled to remember it.

The flats behind, for such a modern building, look dismal too, they almost complement the wasteland that sits in front of them.

And if we all did that?

People would need to start leaving 20 mins early in that case.

Earlier comment who does own the old site ?

Presumably a private developer now part car park.Wouldnt cost a deal to clear it properly and just a bigger car park would be good earner for the owners or a private company (hint hint)

But the original student living planning should have included some provision for that part of the site.

I heard a developer bought it then couldn’t afford to develop it I think it’s back up for sale. 10 quid from 30000 fans should cover it

They were using it as car park without planning permission I believe.  The council stoped them I think more in hope that it would force them to develop it but I think the owners were in a mess after the financial collapse in the naughties.
