turn both valves off at the bottom either side of the rad.. ( in a clock wise direction till they will not go anymore, get a jug turn the rad plug anti clock wise  till water comes out after about half a cup full the pressure should drop and take it all the way out get some PTFE tape from wickes or somewhwere.. wrap it round the plug thread about 10 times its fiddly stick back in and tighten up,,, tights tight... Have fun..

Ahh ...   you mean an ordinary plumber whereas I’m talking about an emergency  plumber ..   

 

Its easy to spot the difference as an emergency plumber always turns up with a large suitcase to put the cash that he charges you in ...
