"Unable to Connect"

Can anyone help me? I'm using Firefox, and recently (for maybe a week or so), I keep getting an "unable to connect" error message when trying to look at this forum. It's not happening to me on any other site. Only this one. It's a bit odd, because it always pops up quickly. Whenever else I've seen the error, I think the browser takes some time trying to connect before giving up and displaying the message.

 

Often, I'll be able to load one or two pages until I get the message, then I'll come back minutes later and I'll be able to load another page and then I get the error again.

 

Is anyone else experiencing this? Any idea whether it's a problem with the site, the browser or the computer?

 

I'd appreciate any help.

Sometimes when I refresh the forum, there's some glitch where the latest posts that shows on the main homepage are from a few months ago.

I'm using chrome on a new pc and foxestalk keeps freezing I thought it might be a chrome/MS10 issue but I can have several tabs open and it's the only one frozen

I have tried clearing the cache. I think the browser is up to date, but I will check. Thanks.

Thanks for letting me know, I tried on Firefox myself and get the same. Trying to work out whats causing it

Same here. Firefox is especially freezy on things like Twitter too and also only shows about 5 recent tweets before skipping to tweets from +2 hours ago and beyond. Tried all the cache/cookie stuff and made no difference.

I don't think it's quite as bad as it was, but it does still happen.

Has it happened today, a change was made late last night that I’m hoping has fixed the issue

No. Not happened today. The last time it happened was last night when I was just about to reply to you. Fingers crossed it's fixed. I'll try to remember to report back.

Sometimes when I refresh the forum and, for example, go onto the main LCFC Forum - I've noticed the 'most recent' threads are actually old ones from a couple of months ago, making me to refresh again to get the more latest.

I switched browsers to Opera. No problems so far.

For some reason it was only happening on Firefox though, so if you could retry on that?
