LCCFox96 Posted 16 July 2018 Posted 16 July 2018 I agree with those saying we won't clear out the list of usual 'dead wood' suspects but I think we might see a departure or two over the next week or so to keep us ticking over. I also think a lot of these players will likely seek a move abroad anyway, so providing something is in the pipeline for them, I think we'll invest a fair bit anyway before the window shuts in early August. In an ideal world I'd like to see: Outs: Benalouane, Ulloa, Musa, Kapustka, Slimani and one/two of Mendy, King, James and Amartey. Loan Outs: Barnes and Thomas (although I'd expect a few of the above to be joining them on loan deals) Ins: Another CB (Mina is an interesting shout), another CM/CAM option (I'd love Loftus-Cheek here) and a wide player. I also wouldn't be opposed to having another LWB come in using Fuchs as cover for CB in a back three and WB before his mooted departure to the USA.

CM- I know we have an abundance of players here, but few are of the standard we need, would love to see Loftus-Cheek along side Ndidi Striker- A classic big man who can actually adapt to our style of play would be great, an Ings/Rondon type who will give us that extra option to Vards. To leave: Musa- think his stock is at as peak as likely following a good world cup Slimani- just doesn't seem happy or up for playing for us Ulloa- time is done at this level. King- see above James- injury seems to have stopped him progressing. Then for what it's worth I would be looking at Amartey, Mendy and Kaputska at having a break through season and pushing those in the first 11 and proving why we bought them this season. Admittingly Kaputska is further away from this then the other 2 right now. There is something there though I'm sure.

He’s 5 ft 10 the exact height as Vardy?

If the Jones you're referring to is Phil Jones, I'm genuinely concerned for your mental health! Would love Loftus-Cheek, but think he'd be very expensive, and with a new manager, Chelsea may not be in a rush to sell. Can't argue with any of the leavers tbf, I'd probably look to ditch Mendy as well - didn't look bad for us to start with, but that injury knocked him off the rails and he's very definitely behind Silva, Iborra and Ndidi in the pecking order. Not necessarily his fault, but that's football.

Getting a winger and possibly another centre mid who can help create chances for all the strikers we currently have should be the priority. Maddison will help alot with creativity but we cant expect him to be Mahrez and do it all on his own. I still think another cb would be good. If Maguire or Evans got injured id be very worried having to play Morgan or Benny for a long period
