Introducing LCFC TV & LCFC Radio’s All-New Line-Up

LCFC TV will return to your screens on Wednesday as its brand-new pre-match programme, Matchday Minus Two, makes its debut.
Leicester City are set to embark upon a fifth-consecutive campaign in the Premier League and our panel of experts will be there before, during and after every single top-flight match in 2018/19.

Live viewing starts this week with the introduction of LCFC TV’s Matchday Minus Two, as iconic Foxes pairing Gerry Taggart and Matt Elliott discuss City’s 2018 pre-season campaign having both co-commentated on this summer’s fixtures.

With those preparations now complete, attentions on Matchday Minus Two will turn to the upcoming Premier League season, which begins against Manchester United at Old Trafford on Friday evening (8pm BST kick-off).

That game will also see the first appearance of LCFC Radio’s Pre-Match Pint, which two hours before every Premier League clash will see a regular mix of former players get you into matchday mode.

This week, broadcasting legend Nev Foulger and former City captain Steve Walsh will be on hand in the King Power Stadium studio to discuss a range of Premier League talking points before we switch over to Matchday Live an hour before kick-off.

Full coverage of each and every Premier League game will again be broadcast for free on Matchday Live – the only place you can listen to all of City’s top-flight games online this term.

In Manchester, Dan Bates, Taggart and John Dunn will be live from the Old Trafford pressbox as atmosphere builds in both camps for the much-anticipated curtain-raiser in the north-west.

Every piece of match action will be covered by the trio before an hour of in-depth analysis follows after the full-time whistle.

As the dust settles on the weekend’s fixtures, LCFC Radio will broadcast live from the studio every Monday after each game with Extra-Time, as Bates, Elliott and Taggart run through the major talking points from the world of football.

A constant on Extra-Time will be the returning Elliott vs. Taggart showdown, where the duo will go head-to-head each week in a special quiz to determine who has the greater footballing knowledge.

Good to see the club putting some effort into their broadcasts, even if it seems to be the same old faces rotating from the Radio Leicester coverage.  

 

Tough gig in the age of the live internet stream, so I hope they stick with it and get the figures.

I quite enjoy the Thursday night show with Gerry Taggart and Matt Elliott.

However the podcasts (that show plus the match day highlights one) should also be available on the Apple Podcasts app, YouTube - or anywhere that ISNT just the club website. Mainly because the entire experience is bloody horrible.

Does this mean neither elliott nor taggart will be on bbc leicester?

Either way they are compromised by working for lcfc.

A few seasons back alan young was always deflecting even quite reasonable comment as he perhaps needed to keep his relationships with city staff going. .. it made him very non objective.

I like elliott but he is a bit of a fence sitter when giving his full and forthright views. I worry if that if hes an employee then he cant bite the hand that feeds.

Matty Elliott confirmed on tonight's "phone in" that he won't be doing bbc Leicester this season.  Pipes is taking over full time.

Matt Elliott has become a decent all round pundit now. I’d like to hear him appear on radio 5 a lot more. Certainly in place of Danny Mills who is a massive bell end.

I like Elliott as a pundit which says a lot considering I think 90% of them are toss. Offers insight instead of telling us what we already know, proper legend as well.
