House of Fraser - purchased by Sports Direct

Will be interesting to see if Mike Ashley and co will restore the HoF's luxury reputation it's been known for nearly 170 years or he'll cherry pick what's good is left from it for his own gain and downmarket the company..

 

Quite concerning considering how Ashley/Sports Direct have treated their warehouse staff etc and hope there won't be too many cut-backs on existing staff.

Have you been in House of Fraser within the last 10 years? The one in the shires has looked like a permanent junk sale.

We had one in Grantham until a few years ago, no one was ever in there, too expensive !!!

Whatever people think of Ashley, the workers there have a bit of hope of keeping their jobs, the previous management couldn't deliver that.

The Leicester one was an outlet store so it never was a proper HOF.I agree it was rubbish
