Kasper is by far the best in my lifetime. Flowers was awesome and should've been number one for years! We did manage to get some half decent loanees over the years like Fulop, Bunn and Stuart Taylor.

Can only remember from the Brian Little era due to my age. Kasper has to be the best keeper I've seen play for us. Still upsets me that he didn't get given the goal he deserved against Yeovil.

Tim Flowers is the 2nd best I've seen. Also really liked Kevin Poole and Kasey Keller.

I'm surprised so many have Walker high up. Maybe my judgement is clouded by some of the errors he made in the PL 03/04, but did he have that many great games?

He did make some good saves that season too. I recall one at Blackburn away from a free kick (it always sticks out for me because he dived and the ball hit the wall and deflected the other way) and the game against Wolves at home he was class (he made a top top save from a header).

I wouldn't say your judgement is clouded, just naturally mistakes stick out. I can recall those two games but after that I'm struggling, though he probably was good in other games.

edit: Also, the season before. I remember playing Manchester United in the league cup and he was on top form. Think there was a time when Solsjkaer picked him up from the ground in admiration.

My top 10 from keepers I've actually watched in my lifetime:

1) Shilton.

2) Wallington.

3) Banks.

4) Flowers.

5) Kasper.

6) Keller.

7) Fulop.

8) Poole.

9) Walker.

10) Muggleton.

I thought Wallington a very, very underrated keeper. Watched him make brilliant saves year after year and he was so consistent. It was a shame he was around when there were so many good English keepers playing at the same time. I'm sure he would be England's number 1 if he was playing today as I don't really think any of the England keepers currently are as good as he was. In fact most of my top 10 keepers are better than the current English keepers. (In my humble and totally unbiased opinion!)

Shilton and Banks are the best two keepers England has ever produced.

None of the other City keepers come close to that pair.

Tim Flowers was excellent though in the short time he was with us and certainly better than Kasper .

In my 55+ years waching the city, Shilton was the best. Wallington the most consistent, after Shilton.

Wouldn't put Banks in top five, inconsistent and made regular mistakes - Man City at home in the FA cup replay in 1966 always springs to mind!

Keller looked insecure, but actually was a decent keeper, plus I always had faith in a Poole, solid and dependable. Would include Kasper in top five.

Got told today that Banks has recently been suffering with depression.

Peter Shilton, "He's one of our own"

The save against Dalglish in 1973 is incredible.
